I bought this about a month ago, since then I have downloaded all of my last trip to Disney, a trip to AZ, a baptism, a graduation, about 4 birthday parties.... and a dozen mouselanious other things, and have about 22 g left for more pics. You can delete or burn or just leave pics right on the drive, and its portable, and rechargeable. I download the pics easily by inserting the memory card (and this particluar one is compatible with 6 different memory cards) and select copy, then it tells me the progress, and when its done, never longer than a few minutes. then when I get home, I can burn it to a CD or copy to my computer or just leave them. It was also nice, I was able to copy pics from friends who were traveling with me as well-- and they had a different digital camera than I had, so no waiting for them to burn me a CD.

If you could get something like this--- I would highly recomend it, and I am not very techno hip... but this WAS EASY to use and understand.

but thats my own oppion.

good luck.

Get a 1G card, you can put tons of pics in it!

Or take your laptop if you have one and save them.

Or if you have a car there, drive to wal mart and for less than $5.00 you can put tons of pics in one cd.

I also recommend getting a 1GB card. They sell them fairly cheap at Costco. Though it depends on what type of memory card your camera takes and what the Costco in your state offers.

This has been driving me nuts for the past month.....I finally just ordered something today. I think I made a good choice but I'll know for sure when it arrives. Does anyone else here use the Transcend Digital Album? Transcend Digital Album $286 on www.zipzoomfly.com

I have a 1Gig card but still wanted something to have with me incase I get snap happy. I know, that's alot of pictures, but I just don't want to be limited and I don't want to worry about looking for somewhere to upload them or copy to a cd either.

After debating the many choices, I think this is the way to go. Extremely portable and able to view the pictures to make sure they transferred. Plus it is a nice to be able to copy other peoples cards instead of waiting for them to get around to making a CD copy. You can even hook it to the TV at the hotel to browse you pics. It has a remote too!
