Bringing Cups

We bring our refillable mugs from the WDW resorts. I also bring larger disposable cups for my DH's coffee.

We are bringing our refillable mugs from Blizzard Beach. They are bigger than the resort refillable mugs, and since this is the first year since 2005 that we aren't going to WDW, we have a nice supply of them.

We bought insulated cups and brought them...and never used them! Drink stations were conveniently located so we never had trouble refilling the small cups.

I was kind of wondering this myself. We are getting a royal and I read they refill the fridges anyway. But then I wonder about the beach. But then we are trying to get a cabana. So I dunno?

What about at the shows and such? Thinking I should bring some just in case.

Minnie321 where do i find permenant vinyl??
I may have to copy; those cups rock :)

I get it from a website called Expressions Vinyl - it is expressionsvinyl.com. Very cheap too - It cost me about $6.00 in Vinyl to make all the cups and really I had a lot left over that my daughter proceeded to make other cups with. We are soooo into vinyl now - we have decorated notebooks, binders, cups, doors (they sell removable Vinyl also) - it is fun!

I find it helpful to bring a cup that has a lid that I can close off completely. That way when I'm walking around the ship with it I don't spill! The one I had on our last cruise did not close completely (the part where you drink from) and I had a couple of small spills because of it.
Minnie321, I loved the cups you made! I don't have a cricut, but one of my friends does. I may ask her if Santa could bring us mugs, since we do exchange Christmas gifts! :teeth:

Oh how cute where did you find the plain cups? I have a cricut and want to make some.

So I went back today and checked those cups. I found them in several stores throughout DTD and MK. I looked a bit closer and they ranged 16oz to 20oz. They also had smaller kid sized ones. I'm still wondering if they would be big enough.

The 20oz size are the ones I have from Whole Foods and they are amazing. I was worried about the size (why I never got the 12oz cups), but these will hold an entire can of soda plus quite a bit of ice (will hold a soda and a half with less ice).

It seems like the perfect size for our family. Some family members need refills faster than others (my husband will sometimes drink an entire cup before taking a gulp of air, while it takes me an hour or longer to finish my drink), but we all feel it's perfect because any larger and the cup would become unwieldy in our opinions.

We bring our 'old' WDW insulated plastic mugs that we got for refillable drinks. 1 is the standard kind you get from the resort (12 or 16 oz?) but the other is larger and came from the water parks quite a few years ago. I kept them for years and years and now we actually have a good excuse to use them. We filled them up right at the drink station, no one said a word.

Recently, I have purchased 2 insulated stainless steel bottles. They do not sweat and can keep water cold for 24 hours. They are on the heavy side but keeping water cold in FL is worth it. The brand I got were Klean Kanteen. I use mine all the time. You can put anything in it. We'll bring those for excursions and travel.

I like the plastic cup idea too, for use on the ship.
