Hi,
Hoping someone can help. We are flying home tomorrow with some large personalised Christmas balls from the Christmas shop in the magic kingdom. Not sUre whether to put them in our suitcases or not. The boxes are quite large for hand-luggage.

If you have brought any home, how have you done it?

Thanks for the advice :)

I've brought home numerous decorations and breakables. Last time it was 6 dinner plates!

I've packed mine in my checked luggage, just made sure it was well wrapped when I bought it, then wrapped in clothes and then put in the case in a place where it wouldn't shift around too much. Not had anything break so far, touch wood.

we always bring anything breakable home in hand luggage..

Hope you got them home safely whatever you did in the end.

Hope you had a great holiday :)

We usually try to put them in hand luggage but if not possible put them in our hold luggage ..... so far been lucky and not had any damages.

Hope you got them home safely and it's not TOO depressing being back.

We get new ones each time we visit and always have them in hand luggage, I wouldn't fancy their chances of surviving in the hold.

I have a hard Samsonite case and I pack them in there and they have always been fine in the hold. Would risk it in a squashable one though.
Good luck!

Mine just survived in hand luggage. It was packed really well by the lady from the Christmas shop though

Like others, we've always tried to stick this kind of thing (Christmas decorations, plates, mugs etc) in hand luggage but sometimes this just can't happen (especially as my Beloved's cameras are getting bigger...). We just wrap them in as many clothes as we can in the centre of our cases and hope for the best.
