Can you bring or has anyone else ever brought their autograph book to character meals or is that reserved only for meet and greets? It will be our first trip so I was unsure about the autograph thing lol!

::yes:: ::yes:: We ALWAYS bring ours!:) The reason we book character meals is so that our kids get to see their friends, get some great pictures and sign their books without having to wait in lines...and occasionally they eat something.

I agree 100% - we booked them so we would not have to wait in lines for characters. Have your book, camera ready and an appropriate pen - loved the clickable sharpie. Perfect for character hand, looked great in the book, and diffrent colors! Eat when you can and quick!! They move you in and out faster than cowboy in a branding pen!:thumbsup2

Bring them. Great chance to get autograph. My son has gotten a ton of great pictures and autographs at these meals.

I think it is a Yes to all but for CRT at dinner time we were told that was the only time that they didn't want you to do it. But CRT does it at B and L.

Thanks for the feedback anyone know of a thread with ideas on how to make an autograph book or any ideas or pictures of one?
Thanks again!

Disney autograph books can be purchased in the parks. My daughter bought one on the last trip that even contained photo pages so she could place the character's signature next to a photo of her with him/her. You may also choose to make your own by decorating a notebook or a copybook. It doesn't have to be fancy-- just have fun!!! :yay:
The character meals are lots fun and the best way to get autographs! We love Crystal Palace ( Winnie the Pooh and friends) and Liberty tree Tavern in MK. Have a wonderful trip!

I purchased some on ebay for my girls. They are hardcover (Fab 5 on the front) with autograph pages on the right side and places for photos on the left, and a pen. When you page through the photos, you can also page through the character's autographs. It is a great keepsake. It was $10 with free shipping.

Seems books could be bought on site for about $6 at the gift shops. Also fat pens, easy for the characters to grip.

We ended up buying 2 as Zeke lost one on the trip. I went to lost and found and my my were there lots of autograph books there! His wasn't among them. Be sure to label them ASAP to make it esier to find.

On our last trip we bought the book with the photo pages for around $12.00. This book is great as they love to look at the pictures! I heard that the new Sharpie click pens work the best. I'm going to have to check on ebay though. Sounds interesting. :)

My thought about the pictures is that if you have 2 kids and want separate pictures, tell the character that. Otherwise the characters seem to like to grab both kids for the picture and leave. I know that my boys would like to have their own pictures so after a "group" photo, I let the character know I'd like to do a quick picture with each separately. They are always agreeable and we are all happy!:goodvibes

This happened to us too! We had to buy a 2nd book the next day - ours never showed up in lost and found. (How heartless can someone be to keep a child's autograph book??)

The books with the photo pages were about $11 available in just about every gift shop you'll find. They have different cover styles to choose from - Mickey, princess, tink, etc...

Like everyone else said bring 'em! We can't go anywhere without DD autograph book. Collecting autographs and meeting characters is her favorite thing to do. The meals are one of the best ways to ensure meeting certain characters. :goodvibes

If you want to make one the creative boards here have some great ones. The DISigners don't mind if you download them for your personal use. I made all of my kids one. It is more expensive than buying one at the park with the cost of ink and I get ours spiral bound at Office Depot. But they turn out to be such a cute keepsake! Also have journals there too that you can use and kids can fill out.

Bring them!! This is the only place that my kids will get their autographs and they have been trained not to wait in lines at the Parks for a "friend" they can meet at a meal.

We always start our trip at CM for dinner. We get to the CR a bit early, we shop at their gift shop and buy our autograph books and pens there. Thats our little "thing". Make for a fun start of the trip.

I just purcahsed mine on Ebay for $1.99 each and the shipping was about the same.

For sure....bring your autograph books!!! No standing in long lines!!!! We kept ours in a big zip lock bag so they would not get wet or damaged!!! Worked great for us!!

We put our in Ziplocks too. It makes for a much easier grab if an unexpected "friend" is near. This way you have the pen with the bag to.
