Hi,
I have read how people are bringing water and sodas on board. I would love to bring a case of bottled water on board. What is the best way to bring it on? I would hate to have to drag it around on the boat in my carryon until our room is available, is there another way? I wish I could just buy a case and give it to the porter with the rest of my luggage at the port? Is this possible? Could I just write my name and cabin number on the case of water or would they frown on this? I am a huge water drink and can buy a case for $4.50 (versus I read $30 on board??)

Thanks!!

Hi,
We're bringing a case of bottled water also. We plan to pack it in a suitcase by itself. It'll be wrapped well. Then, coming back we'll have a suitcase to bring back the souvenirs.

Hi Sue. We're planning to just bring a case of water, put our name and cabin number on it and give it to the porter. I'm sure I've read somewhere that people have done that. It's just that since we're the first out of San Pedro I wonder if the rules will be different. I hope it works. If not, Mark will not be happy about carrying a case of H2O around while we wait for our cabin.

Seems like a lot of work when the ships have all the free water you can drink, purified right on board, and tasty.

I don't know which cruise you are sailing on but on the Western, we stopped at a CVS in Key West and bought a case of water back to the ship with us. It was $5...much cheaper than the $29 DCL was charging.

I agree - we brought water on our first couple of cruises, but now we just bring sports bottles and fill up at the drink station on deck 9. Great water! And I'm a bottled water person.

I agree! The water on board is excellent!! I drink around 80oz. of water a day, all bottled or filtered. I don't think there is a need to bring water on board. I have brought sodas on board before, but only sodas that can't be purchased outside of NC and surrounding states like Cherry Lemon Sundrop or Cheerwine. My opinion is that the water is free on deck 9, and in the restaurants. I don't want to pack something that is already on board and free. Hope this helps.
