30 days out
First ever trip report that i am trying. I will say that in the PTR i dont have any pics, and in my TR i wont have any pics of my family, but i will post pics of the World, and Food, and probably there will be a couple of the little guy.

* Who is in your party My Fiance and I and our 7 mo son (william). DF (tim) and i (anna) have been friends for years and were both divorcees. 2 years ago we decided that we were such good friends we should try dating. We are so compatible its scary sometimes. We are both in Law enforcement and also the fire service. We were planning to be married but then our son came along and we wanted to wait until he was born before planning wedding.
We've been to Disney three times together before, as DF is a DVC member. THe first trip for me was just a quick "hey we got four days, lets go to Disney". So 4 parks in 3 1/2 days. Frst time ever for me at disney so i was glad i knew id be coming back some day.
The 2nd trip was in january, i was a few weeks pregnant, so i couldnt go on all the rides and it was too cold to swim, but crowd levels were low so we got to go on all hte rides i was alowed to go on.
And then the 3rd trip i was 5 months pregnant and it was may... so that was fun.
But now that i have a little guy,... i am so excited to watch him discover Disney as he grows.

* Your travel dates
May 2nd- May 9th. We leave the Northeast on Saturday afternoon. 30 more days!!! We usually plan an early flight, travel to the airport the night before, and stay at a local hotel that night. But we discovered that we could actually fly down Saturday, and stay at a value resort for less money. And that means a whole extra day in the world!

* Where are you staying
Our first night we snagged a preffered room at All Star Movies. I am crossing my fingers and hoping that we get to stay in the 101 Dalamtions buildings.
Then the next 2 nights we are going to Saratoga Springs, which i have been there before)
And then on Tuesday we move to Old Key West, a first for me.
We had to split our stay because we had to wait and book the trip late.

*Itinerary
Saturday - I am working an overnight into Saturday AM. SO as soon as i get our of work we are heading to airport 3 hrs away. Plan on arriving around 7pm to All Star Movies. No big plans this day. Probably arrive.. grab a quick bite at World Premiere, and get to bed

Sunday - We need to check out of All Star Movies. We'll have them move our bags, and plan on walking around the value resorts in the morning so DS can see the decorations. Then we'll head over to DTD/Disney Springs to shop and get brunch at EoS. EoS is a first for me. We also have to redeem our annual pass vouvhers. Also we need to find a present for my parents as they are dog sitting for us. We'll head over to Saratoga Springs hopefully by boat, check in, then head over to OKW as we have ADR at Olivias Cafe. I love that we can bounce back and forth using the boats, its so cool. Then we'll head back to SSR and settle in.
I am having groceries deliverd via Garden Grocer to SSR this day (another first for us). Mainly baby supplies so i dont have to pack as much. Also some bread and PB&J so we can pack our own snacks for the park. From what i understand, i just have to pick up the groceries at bell services when we get back from dinner.

Monday- Monday is a MK day. And Will has a 9 am appt to get his haircut at Harmony Barber Shop!! Ok hes only 7 months so there isnt a lot of hair to cut so its more of the experience. However, he does have some hair, and the more it hangs over his ears the more excited i get.
We plan on two MK days so we plan on focusing on Tomorrowland and fantasyland this first day. We have FP+ for Winnie the Pooh, 7 Dwarfs (rider swap) and Little Mermaid. I also snagged ADR for a late BoG lunch (First for me). All our scheduled plans are over by 330, so we will play it by ear after that to determine what we do.

Tuesday- Is AK day. we have fp+ for EE, the Safari, and Lion King. THen an early dinner ADR for YaknYeti. We enjoy Yak n Yeti. Other goals is to get one of those cool cupcakes.

Wednesday- Epcot. Plan on Spaceship earth, Test track, figment. We have ADR for Via Napoli for an early dinner. We love there Pizza and a Disney trip isnt complete for DFwithout getting one. We plan on taking our time and enjoying the flower and garden show.

Thursday - HWS. Lots of firsts hear. FP+ for Star Tours, TSSM (of course) and......Tower of Terror. ToT is for me, DF doesnt like those rides. I love roller coasters but actully hate elevators in real life. but i feel obligated to ride this ride as i hail from Rod Serlings hometown.. In fact my mom was once on a small regional plane with him and sat near him.
We have ADRs at 50s Prime Time for dinner, another first for me.

Friday - back at MK, going to concntrate on the rest of the park. FP for peter pan, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates. Then a early ADR dinner at Crystal Palace.

Saturday we have a super early flight so no plans except wake up , grab ME and head to the airport.

We have left a lot of flexibility in the evenings, because we'll have to see how Will is doing with all the new things. LEaving time to swim, nap, pin trade. (we dabble in the pins just a little)
We like to get pins of the resorts we stay at, the events we hit, and some of the more significant rides. My mom made us cool cloth pin boards that we hang in our house. When i was pregnant, she made one for Will as well. ll try to post them later.

Also i am crossing my fingers and trying to get a res for the MK Dessert Party. Never did that before.

Here are pics of those pin boards I talked about. The last one is the one we started for DS before he was born

I can't seem to post my DSs board

We've gone every single year since our daughter was 7 months old. She was a MISERABLE baby....but it all turned around the very first day we got to WDW. Finally started sleeping better the second night. In fact, I think that age was easier in WDW than when she was 1 or 2, since she didn't want to get out of the stroller.

We didn't even bother to go back to the resort for her naps. One day, she started to wake in the stroller, and just as the tears were about to start flowing, we noticed we were right in front of IASW. Problem solved!

She also fell asleep in the Haunted Mansion and on Kilimanjaro Safaris :)

Hope you have a great trip!

Thank you.
We have been blessed with a very happy baby... He adjusts very well to changes. We also are making sure to bring a stroller he can nap in.

4 more weeks. And we almost had to cancel!...

So right after I had made my first post I had an interview for a new job... But the academy starts April 27th. Well I left then know about the trip and walked out of the interview thinking.... D***.

But they offered me the job... And said they were OK with me missing that week. Whew!

So that means I don't have my old job where I have to do an overnight the night before we leave.

We got our magic bands and our ME info.

I am also adding a ADR for Friday for kona cafe breakfast.
I have never tried Tonga toast.

DS has mastered crawling.. And has popped a tooth.

Getting excited :)

Joining in - sounds like really nice plans. We traveled to WDW when my oldest was 8mo old and recently went with my youngest being 1mo old. It's great to see what thing capture their attention and also the character meets were great with all the attention they would get.

Definitely think being flexible is the key - sometimes we would go back for a break and other times would let them sleep in the stroller - just depended on how things were going

Congrats on the new job! :thumbsup2

Thanks.. I'm really excited for the new job so we actually have two countdowns in my house right now.

I need to change the title of my try BC DS I'd actually going to be 8 months on the trip. He was 7 when I started the thread.

One more week from day and i will be officially done at my old job, Then two weeks after that i will be getting out of my new job on the Friday before VACATION!!

We have been in Disney countdown mode now for a few weeks, especially since the weather has finally broken here in the NE. Little DS has finally got to really spend some time outside. He was born in August, and it had been such a hard delivery for me, by the time i was feeling up and willing to go outside and take long walks, the weather was already to cold for a newborn. We tried to get him out some, but winter came fast this year and hung on. (its also been a real hindrance to losing that baby weight :worried: )

(I have to say this is the first time i have used a Laptop and not a tablet to update.... Sooo much easier!)

So here is a picture of Little William

He is the most happy, adaptable baby ever. (at least that i have met) Since Day one home from the hospital he has slept through the night ( which scared us to death that first morning we woke up ) and currently he goes to bed every night at 7 ish and wakes up around 7 ish in the AM. Thats not to say that we dont always get to bed at seven. there has been nights that he has been with us at the Fire Station until well past 10pm (Horrible parents i know) but he just rolls with it. Which i think will come in handy at Disney.

So... i have basically already set aside all the clothes needed in my suitcase for me and baby. Daddy is going to have to share some of his bag for non clothing baby essentials. We'll see how receptive he is to that... ha ha.
I have done some last minute Amazon orders as well. The first being a portable charging block for the cell phone... i will have my SLR with me but i know my phone is going to get a lot of use too,,, and we need that MDE app to be with us.
Then i ordered Baby Ear Muffs in case we decide to stay in the parks for fire works... or maybe for the louder rides.
Bought a last minute outfit for DS. We have a safari outfit for AK day, a turtle shirt for Epcot, pirates for one MK day, and monsters for HS. But i wanted something for our other MK day.... so... Mickey t shirt it is. (ha... and i know my son....he'll prolly spit up on the clothes first thing in the park and end up wearing his back up outfit.)

Then we got thinking about the stroller.... we have a big jogging stroller which we knew we were not bringing with us. Mainly because we are flying, and we dont want the hassle of something that big, nor do we want to lose it. We were originally going to just get a cheap umbrella stroller but the more i thought about it, i didnt like the idea. So we got a middle of the road Jeep stroller, light wait. I figured, 1. It has a better shade cover for DS, 2. It reclines so DS can nap in his stroller 3. It will work for longer as it has a higher wt limit 4. IT HAS CUPHOLDERS AND STORAGE! DF couldnt argue with that one. So i got to assemble that today and it is just getting me more excited.

Like i said DS is in Disney training mode. Everyday it isnt raining we have been going to the park and walking more and more. I bought myself a pair of Sketchers Go Walks and they feel so good, i bought a second pair. I think i am pretty much set except i may need to buy more socks bc someone wont keep his on his feet.

I Wanted to share the story of my third disney trip, where DF and i got ENGAGED!. Course, i wont bore you with the whole trip but it does make for a cute engagement story. Of course it wasnt very cute at the time for DF.

I will start by saying that getting engaged wasnt that much of a surprise... DF and i had talked about it for a long time and knew we were getting married. Even before we found out we were going to have a baby we knew we were going to get married. But him being the chivalrous man he is, wanted to do the whole romantic "surprise here is a ring, i'm going to formally ask you to marry me" thing. And since he knew that my first husband proposed in the tackiest way ever (i wont even talk about it) he wanted to do something romantic.

So it was May, i was 5 months pregnant and we were staying at AKL Kidani. We had gone to magic kingdom that day, and had dinner at whispering canyon. A very violent storm hit the area, so we hung out in Wilderness Lodge for a while after which was ok with me. Poor DF though... he had plans to take me on a horse carriage ride through Fort Wilderness. But it was coming down in buckets, no way was that going to happen. Strike one.

The storm let up a while later and the next plan was to watch Wishes. We went to magic kingdom, and i tried to be enthusiastic... but i was 5 months pregnant in a humid FL and i know some of you can relate to that. I did my best but i will admit, when the fireworks started going off and you couldnt see a thing, i was ready to go. THe fog and moisture in the air was so thick all you could see were flashes of light. Strike two.

My feet were so swollen from being pregnant and walking that i was ready to go back to AKL and just relax, maybe watch the animals. So we get back to the room and as soon as we walk in DF is like "You got to be kidding me?" He had raced to beat me to the room for some reason. I asked him what was wrong but he was just stewing. Finally he got up and left. When he came back he said Room Service is going to be knocking on the door. Which they did, and delivered the tray of sparkling cider, wine glasses, chocolate and trinkets that was supposed to be in the room when we returned. DF brought it over and then took the ring out of his pocket to put on the tray and just looked at me with this look of defeat.

It had a whole wishes theme to it, with a letter from the walt disney company addressed to us about thanking us for allowing them to fullfill our wishes, special "wish" gold coins. It was supposed to tie in with the fact that we were supposed to watch wishes that night. He had arranged for it to waiting for us and he wasnt going to put the ring on the tray before i got in. He specifically spoke to the resort to make sure there wouldnt be a problem, and that they knew that the glass was non alcoholic. Well i guess something got lost in translation between cast memebers, bc when the package came in, the CM in charge saw the bottle, assumed it was alcohol and held it. You need someone over 21 to sign for alcohol.

I felt so bad for DF, but being the person i am i just looked at him and said "Go back down there, and tell them because of their mix up, i said no." This is my sense of humor and or course he knew i wasnt serious. And we laugh about it now.

When he went down there, and spoke to guest relations for the resort, he was not a happy camper. And i guess the CM felt really awkward when hey realized that their mistake botched up a proposal. In fact, there was a "Mickey Mouse Police" officer hanging out and he was like "you guys are on your own for this" and skedaddled out of there. They just said "We will try to make this up to you"

I dont have a picture of the original tray, but later in the week we did come home to find this on our bed, which was a nice touch. Of course, i couldnt bring myself to eat the chocolate giraffe, we brought him home. Then my dad came to visit and ate him ("i didnt think it was something you were keeping")

Following along! We're considering taking our currently 10 week old but will be 7-8 month old daughter to WDW this fall in October. Looking forward to hearing about your trip!

Awesome. Thanks for following... hopefully i'll be able to give you some insight on what to expect. I went and found a TR by amazingact21 about her trip with her then 7-8 month old and found it very helpful. The title is "My guppy has groupies" or something similar to that. Its a Dec 13 trip and she is very detailed with it. A fun read.
