I figured i would start this thread to ask any questios about the WDW gift card, and get some answers, because i felt bad about highjacking the 50$ Disney Dollar thread sorry.

My questions:

Is there a minimum that you can put on the card

Maximum?

Can i get a card in WDW and put 20$ (or whatever amount on it).
and then upon getting home just keep adding money on the card with my credit card?

Here is what the cards look like:

The minimum is $5 and the max is $1000.

I don't know if you can reload it using a CC - I only reloaded with cash, DDs, traveler's check.

Where do you buy them and where can they be used? Is it for just the Disney Store or can it be used anywhere in WDW (resorts, food, etc.)?

You can purchase it at any resort gift shop or food court restaurant near the cash registers.

The stores at each theme park also have them as well as the DTD stores such as World of Disney, Once Upon a Toy, Disney Home, Team Mickey, The Candy Cauldron.

You can use these at WDW property stores including resort gift shops, park gift shops. You can use it to purchase food at table service restaurants, counter service restaurants, snack carts that accept cards, bars/lounges to buy alcoholic drinks.

You can also use it at the 3 Disney outlet stores at Belz and Orlando Premium Outlets.

You CANNOT use this at the Disney stores that are run by Children's Place.

They sell the gift cards at The World of Disney in NYC (but not Disney Dollars).

You can order them ahead of time. We're going down the day after Christmas, so I ordered one for each child to go into their Christmas stockings. The number to call is (407)363-6200. There is a $6.95 shipping fee, but if you want FedEx delivery it is more.

the only difference I could tell from our trip last week is that you can use DDs at snack carts that don't take cards.

I'm not sure if you can pay for your room with the gift card or not. With DDs we were able to pay off our room rate.

The biggest difference is that you don't have to carry wads of DDs and coins! Having tons of coins was always the most annoying aspect of carrying cash.

Hi jacking okay as long as it's informative . I just called a while ago and ordered a gift card. The only problem I see is isn't reloadable from home according to the cm that helped me. Susan

Poohs Pal thanks for that, that was my most important question! I do hope they chang that soon! oh well until then i can just keep buying DD at home and once we get to WDW with our WAD of DD just put them on the card

I think I will just keep buying disney dollars and then put them on a card when I get there too. Thanks for all the info. though-I might order one for dd12 for Christmas though.
