Yep - travel router, worked fine for us (two computers in the room) - if you don't password protect it someone could in theory use your network. We had a password though.
It's just a slightly smaller router. Here's a link to one by 3Com. You could take your own router from home, except for the size they're essentially the same.
Question, our friends who will be traveling with us have a laptop with internet service on it. I think it is through Sprint. Is it possible for me to connect to the internet through their connection? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I am totally clueless when it comes to this stuff.

We have a Linksys travel router. If you go to the Linksys page you can see the kinds they have. It fits in a case about the size of a big electric razor. You have to plug it in to the power and plug in the ethernet cable from the rooom's port to the router - then hook that to the first laptop to configure it and sign up for the daily service - which is charged to your room. You set up a wireless network at that time and give it a name and then anyone close enough to get the signal for that network can use it - same room usually works fine, not sure how far it extends out of the room. You can password protect that network as well. We use this so my husband can use his work computer and I can use mine and we are not charged two separate internet connection fees. I can also use my iPod touch with that network. It does take a bit of work if you have not done it before.
I am all about bringing the netgear with me There is no way me and my fiancee could share the one computer in contemporary. I'll have the Macbook Pro with me so the router should solve that
