Respectfully I would suggest having your own dessert as an in room birthday celebration. Enjoy your trip!
Is it possible to bring our own cake or cupcakes to the restaurant?
I did this for DS at HDDR! No hassle and no worries doing it this wayI’d just buy the small Disney cake (an adorable Mickey hat shape) that is $35. It only serves 4-6 but with all the dessert options, it would be more symbolic. They have chocolate and vanilla so you could buy one of each if you wanted.
1) OK, I know the OP wants their own cake.
2) But, the podium "Mickey Cake" is pretty darn good.
3) I ordered this for our group, with multiple HUGE-BIG-SIGNIFICANT-MAJOR celebrations.
. . . (1) person just retired
. . . (1) person at 70th birthday
. . . (1) person at 5-yrs breast cancer survivor
. . . (1) person at survival of a mega-auto-crash
4) Everyone LOVED it !!!
5) It is ordered when you check-in at the podium (not beforehand) and brought to you when you request it.
6) Forget about your own cake, and get the Mickey Podium Cake.

NOTE: And, yes, one of the people at the table cut into it before the photo was taken.
If you look at the silver cut out and almost replaced, it looks like you could possibly get as many as 16 servings.Does it just serve 4 to 6 as stated? Our could you squeeze 8 out of one?
