We are cruising and then staying at BCV. I don't want the stroller for the cruise, but DD5 will need one for the parks.

Should I rent one or bring one?

My stroller is very easy to manuver, and we may walk to Epcot or DD from BCV. I'm not sure if a stroller would be less or more trouble in the airports.

a judgment call. If the stroller is easy to bring as a piece of luggage for you, then you could bring it. Renting a stroller in the parks is easy, but you won't have it when you walk from a resort to a park.

We were at wdw last month and I brought a lightweight stroller with me for my dd1, but didn't realize my dd5 wanted one also. We ended up renting one every day for her. It's really not that big of a hassle to take a stroller on the plane. You take it all the way up to the gate, then they take it from you, and when you come out of the plane, it is waiting for you outside the cockpit door. As for the cruise, I'm not sure how much of a hassle it will be. Also factor that to rent a stroller is about $8/day.

I'm a big fan of bringing a lightweight umbrella-type stroller. You may find you'll get plenty of use out of it outside the parks (at your resort, at Downtown Disney, etc), making it more advantageous than a rental stroller.

Do you have a small umbrella stroller? If so, then I would bring it along with you so you can walk to Epcot and MGM if you want to. (If not, you could always take the boat to those parks and rent a stroller once there).

The reason I asked about the size of the stroller is that the cabins on the criuise don't have a lot of storage space, and a full size stroller may end up in the way. If you're renting a car, that wouldn't be an issue.

Have fun!!

How big are the rental strollers? I have a tall 4 year old who is too big for an umbrella stroller. I didn't know if we could use one or not.

The strollers are plenty large. My tall dd was 5 the last time that we went and there was enough room for her plus some gear.

If you are looking for extra space for backpacks and such, you could always get a double stroller.
