Bring case of bottled water from WDW?

and for all those refilling....please dont put your dirty cup up to the drink station! use a clean cup like the sign says.
I typically just refill in my room, and keep the bottle in the fridge until we head out.

Is there a special for preordering? Is the on board price ~$30 for a 24-pk?
Here's the prices onboard for our 2015 Wonder cruise:

Anyone know the price of the onboard package that includes bottles of water and a DCL cooler, as well as when and where one can purcahse it ?

OP: we're having wine and water delivered to our hotel the day before. I didn't like the taste of the cruise ship water last time. Plus, I prefer having bottles to carry off the ship for excursions.

I plan on having a small rolling suitcase that I will carryon

FTR: 2 bottles of wine, 6 bottles of beer, and the 24-pack of water will cost just as much as just ordering the water on the ship. So it's like free booze. Lol

I have only taken 2 cruises, both last fall (Sept & Nov) 3-night Dream. For both, I packed bottles of water in my checked bags that I dropped off at the port. Neither time the water was confiscated. Was this a fluke or is this a new rule??? Sailing next month 7-night Fantasy & will be taking DCL transfers from POR. Was hoping to pack water again, but from the sounds of this thread that's no longer possible???

The porters don't work for Disney. They're not going to jeopardize a tip by saying "you can't check that". Does water handed over to the porters make it through, yes (not always, though). It's not a new thing. DCL has always requested beverages be hand carried on (at least since 2008, as long as I've been cruising with them).

Did you mean packed inside your luggage? Or just putting a luggage tag on a case of water?

On our 2 cruises the porters took our 24 pack of water bottles and put a tag on it for our room. It was delivered both times. I didn't realize it should be any different.

Wow, really? I wish I was brave enough to try this!

We put a case of water in our rolling carry on size suitcase. It is not big deal to carry it on the ship that way.

As I've joked many times in threads like these: The porters want your tips. You could slap a tag on your Aunt Esther, hand her off to the porters and she'd be stacked up next to your stateroom door later.

Both times we broke up the case & packed the bottles into different pieces of checked luggage. The first time the porter told us to do it. The second time I did it because of what I did the first time. :) I had no idea it wasn't allowed.

Thanks for the info.

@PrincessShmoo has a picture of how the luggage gets piled up.

As others have said, the porters will take pretty much anything because they want a tip.

Just be aware that should your bottles not get your luggage tagged and pulled and it ends up in a pile where the bottles break you will be held responsible for any damage to other people's luggage and belongings.

We were researching this with family friends who are cruising next month. As we could only find people on here saying you couldn't check it and no where else...
I haven't found anywhere on a Disney site that says that beverages can't go in checked luggage (other than alcohol).

In fact, last week they found the opposite and sent me a screen shot:

Just sayin......

They are not DCL connected are they? Just their personal experience?

Interesting. My guess if they asked again - or maybe asked an actual CM and not a Mom's Panel member - they would get a totally different answer.

Well, it's the only thing we could find on an actual disney website that even mentioned taking onboard your own non-alcoholic drinks.
DCL links them to them.

Equally, it's on a legit disney website that they approve, so if anyone questioned it you can show this as proof...it's more disney affiliated than here...
