I havwe heard that cooking in the rooms is frowned upon.

Would it be ok to bring a small grill for outside or the parking lots like a tailgate party?

Sounds good to me! But i've never been, so I may not be a good one to answer....
I'm assuming charcoal grill..what will you do with the hot grill/coals?

I have a small gas hibatchi (sp?) type grill

I think it would not be allowed- been their 8 times- never seen anyone grilling. Only FW has grills

I would have to agree with Karmic. Disney is very careful to eliminate any situations that could cause a potential problem (hot coals, fires, gas...)

We brought our Coleman Gas Grill, approx 4-6 inch deep, 12 in wide X 16 in long. We set it out on the balcony, and started grilling. My DH makes an awesome grilled steak and grilled corn on the cob! I heard they actually have charcoal grills at OKW, poolside.

Maybe ok at the home away from home resorts, but unlikely at the other resorts. I can remember staying at the golf couse villas and there were charcoal grills on the patios.

Hawk.

It is generally against local fire codes to use grills on balconies of apartments and/or hotels.

Parking lots might be different.

At OKW, BCV, and BWV I know there are charcol grills for public use. While you are suppose to be staying there I don't know that it would be a real issue if you weren't. I have never seen them busy.
