Regarding today's show, I just wanted to say that the high speed Brightline trains are not just in a testing phase. Brightline is alive and well in South Florida. I live in Boca Raton and see the trains go by all the time. I can't wait for the expansion to Orlando to be complete.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brightline:
"Brightline's service runs between
Miami and West Palm Beach with a single intermediate stop at Fort Lauderdale. The Fort Lauderdale–West Palm Beach segment opened on January 13, 2018, followed by Fort Lauderdale–Miami on May 19. An extension from West Palm Beach to Orlando via Cocoa is scheduled to open in 2021, and more extensions are planned."

It's about time Florida had a proper intercity railway. However, as a European, I'm still perplexed as to why it's still all diesel and not overhead electric, given that even CA are electrifying their main long-distance passenger lines. The maximum line speed is around the same as what we use for our fastest diesel and electric trains that continue to run on classic lines with traditional signalling.

Just wanted to point out also that the Miami terminus is not at the cruise ship dock. You might have gotten that impression from the podcast. The terminal isn't far, but you will still need to do taxi/uber/lyft to get to the terminal if you are cruising out of Miami.
