Does anyone else watch this show??

My roommate got me hooked on it. I'd never heard of it and I found it odd that he (as a guy in his late 30's) watched it :lmao: UNTIL I watched it.

These women make some of the people on Springer look sane. :lmao:

I guess I've never really seen getting all worked up over a wedding. I'm in my mid 30's, probably never getting married at this point in life but if I did, seriously can't see myself getting all worked up over the things these women get worked up over! And the way they treat their fiances! It's awful. Why do these men go through with it! I'd leave the 'Zillas if it were me.

Fess up. Who else watches the freak show that is Bridezillas?

I feel dirty admitting it, but I can't stop watching this train crash of a show! I am always waiting for the episode when the fiance has a moment of clarify and runs fast and far!

I don't know what I'm more amazed at, that the women seem so proud that they are Grade A ******, the wimpy fiances that keep feeding the monsters or the bridesmaids that actually take their "friend's" abuse and don't tell her what her fiance should have already.

Even if they are "acting" it up for the cameras I'm still astounded that someone would want to portray themselves that way!

Geez, at least wait until after the honeymoon before going beastly,

I have watched it as well....it is definitely like staring at a nuclear explosion!!

However, I have to admit....I am much more fascinated as to WHY women would be this way. Low self-esteem? Honestly, it seems like some of these women don't even love the men they are marrying. I almost get the sense that these women are angry that they couldn't do better/have more in life. The woman who paid for an etiquette coach and bootcamp for her finance comes to the front of my mind.

I also wonder if they just do not have enough going on in their life to feel special or worthwhile in any other way. Their whole "this is MY day" mentally blows my mind!!

It does make me wonder what the Bridezillas divorce rate is running these days??

I'll admit, it's my guilty pleasure. My friend and I watch it "together" over AIM. We both love this trainwreck. I don't care if it's staged, it's just hilarious to watch. After the last episode, my friend warned me not to lose any weight because I can't look better than her at her wedding :rotfl: She said if I did, she'll hold a casting call for fat bridesmaids :dance3: Did anyone else see that episode? That bride was crazy. I wanted to shake her and tell her that it ain't the weight that makes you ugly.

My husband was laughing at some of those "brides" when he was channel surfing. He suggests that they give their guests the option to donate towards their divorce lawyer. Now there's a gift a bridezilla can really use!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I have to admit that I'm hooked on this show too. Platinum Weddings also. I have no idea why since I've been very happily married to DH for 12 years and no way in heck are my kids getting a "platinum" wedding even if we could afford it.

I think this week's episode with the bride putting a weight MINIMUM on her bridesmaids was the craziest!

OMG! I saw her! If one of my friends lost weight, I'd be happy for her, proud of her achievements, not mad at her for looking thinner than me! I felt sooo bad for her friends. I don't think I could be friends with a person who talked to me like that!

Did you see the one who didn't care that a 5 year old, her nephew, got lost in the parking lot at the reception because it took attention away from her?!
Um, maybe she should take a lesson from that girl in the news a few weeks ago who saved a family that was in a burning house while still in her wedding gown. Sometimes there really are things more important than you, sweetie! Ugh! I wanted to slap her. :scared1:

I usually put this on - on Sunday night - because my crew has just headed home after spending the weekend here at the lake and I'm sitting around copying over more recipes for my muffin recipe collection.. I don't always watch it closely, but I like to see the bridal dresses, the venues, the cakes, etc.. Sometimes if I'm on the DIS, I'll tape it and pop it in the VCR at some other point in time when I want some background noise or I'm bored to tears..

Of course I wonder how much of it is "real" and how much of it is "act like the biggest you-know-what in the world".. It doesn't matter to me though because I don't see anyone being hurt by it (all adults for the most part - the same way I feel about the "Housewives" shows) and it's something to have "on" rather than sitting here in silence..

However, I do know one bride personally who definitely could have given that show a run for their money - with no "acting" involved.. Unreal..:eek:

I saw that! I also loved how she kept telling her fiance that they were supposed to "act like a happy couple" and she doesn't "have time to be in love" until after the wedding. What a *****! I always wonder how on earth the groom actually goes through with the wedding and the bridesmaids don't throw the cake in the Bridezilla's face!

I would never have a friend like that, and if I did and she wanted me to be in her wedding, I'd crash it! :rotfl: (And maybe Vince Vaughn would show up. :lovestruc)

Watching it as I type this....it is the one where she doesn't want the bridesmaid to wear spanx because she might look better than her.

It is one of my favorite shows....this, platinum weddings and house hunters, I love them all.
