I have the Swarovski Cinderella tiara. It's sort of weird, it's not a comb, not a clip or wrap, it's hinged and you have to use bobby pins to put it on. (I think)

My questions are:

1. Did you feel it stayed on securely? Would it last from a 10 am wedding to a dessert party?

2. How did you do your hair? Did you need a lot of height in your hair to make it "stay" like give it something to lean on?

If you have a pic of yourself in the tiara, I'd LOVE to have you post it here.

Thanks!!

I had the same exact concerns before my wedding. So hopefully this will help you :goodvibes I had Lisa Pena do my hair and my hair was pretty long. It took her about 45 min to do my hair because of the tiara and the length of my hair which as almost to my elbows. However, she did an amazing job! My hair did not move at all. My ceremony was at 9 AM and then we had a brunch reception. I have no doubt that my hair would have held up for later because nothing was out of place by 3 PM. But I can't tell you from experience because at 3 PM I went to Periwig's, donated my hair to Locks of Love, and had it restyled for my evening reception. I can tell you that it took a lot for that stylist to undo what Lisa had done.

Here's a pic that's straight on

HTH!:goodvibes As long as you get someone that's a professional they should be able to do a great job.

My DF's niece lent me the same tiara that you wore. She wore it when she got married 8 years ago. I took it down to Florida with me in May when we were down there for our planning session and I did a hair and make up trial. I am still not sure if I will use it or not. It is very beautiful but I did find it hard to keep in my head. I had Ana do my trial and when she found out the type of tiara it was she said that alot hair people find this hard to put in. It is definately doable and she did get it on me and it would have stayed in fine. I am not sure if I want a tiara with pearls or not. The original one I had my heart set on was all crystal so I am still deciding.

Namsupak - that thara looks wonderful on you and it is making me rethink my decission.

I wore the Swarovski Cinderella tiara. Took it to a salon at home for a hair trial and it WOULD NOT stay in my hair...at all...with no amount of clips. It's very heavy. I happened to have one of the little metal tiaras they use at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, so we took the little and the HUGE tiara to a jewelery store and had them take the small metal comb and attach it to the swarovski one. The comb made life so much easier. I had a hair trial once I got down there with Ana from Beaute Speciale. The look on her face when I pulled out the Swarovski box was pure horror. She said that they are all so beautiful but a major pain to put on because they are so floppy. When I showed her the comb, she thought it was genius and made life so easy. No problems with it at all on the day of.

What exactly about the tiara makes it difficult? I purchased a tiara from David's Bridal and I hope it will be okay. :goodvibes

Swarovski tiaras are hinged on each side and we could not get it to stand up straight. I also could not keep the center of the tiara in the center of my head and it kept looking tilted. Now, this was in my hair trial. My wedding is this November and I still have not decided if I am going to use it or not.

I am getting my hair cut and colored tomorrow at home with the guy that does my hair all the time and I am going to bring it to him and show him and get his ideas.

I love the idea of adding the combs to the tiara. I might have to give this a try.

Wow- adding a comb is GENIUS. I will ask my local jeweler. :) I just don't know why they don't have a comb already attached- for over $300 you would think it would be built to stay in, you know??
