Did you find that it was hard to hear you with the waterfall going? We are trying to decide if we need to have mics or not. I would prefer not, but if nobody is going to be able to hear, I guess we will have to.

We'll see what the Canada brides think, but Disney's rule of thumb is mikes for groups of 25 or more. I was at a 50-guest wedding in the Germany Pavilion last weekend and had trouble hearing anyone but the officiant even without a waterfall in the background.

Disney added a sound system to the Canada package because of the waterfall.

We were married in Italy in 2008 and had 50 guests attend. My DH was mic'ed. That took care of him, me and the officient. Even without a waterfall I am sure if he was not mic'ed it would have been very difficult to hear. Think of all your family and friends travel all the way to see and hear your ceremony and not hearing anything. As a guest I would be very disapointed.

What did they charge you for that? I am not thrilled about being heard, I am really shy. But I don't want frustrated guests either.

The Escape Collection package in Canada includes a sound system at no extra cost. If you're doing a Wishes event, you will have to pay for it separately. Our sound package in Morocco was about $850, but that included a CD player, two speakers, and a tech—if you can get away with less, it should cost less. Still, you're looking at at least $250.
