Heading for a disneymoon in December. Can anyone give me a compelling argument why the soon to be hubby and I should wear the brdie and groom ears? Can I spare him and just wear the bride ones?

Any expereinces with the headgear I can pass on to him?

Thanks!

Both my husband and I bought the ears, but we decided not to wear them (just not our thing, although they're very cute). Instead, we both wore the free wedding pins from Town Hall--we got tons of well wishes and freebies with them on--from free stickers to free desserts to free champagne glasses!! So anyway, don't feel like you HAVE to wear the ears to look like a Disney bride :) It was an amazing week...the best week of my life...and not just because of all the freebies ;)

I say wear them! I have heard many different stories of brides and grooms wearing them and all positives from the experience. I know that when I am vacationing there and I see someone I say Congratulations! and I always hear others saying so. Sometimes you even get special things in the parks...but its never guaranteed.

I plan on wearing mine...not for the attention, but I want to feel as much like a bride as I can for as long as I can! :cheer2: Hubby to be will wear them as well...but probably not as much as me! LOL

Wear them-how many opportunities in life do you get to do something crazy like that? DH only wore his 2 of the 4 park days (neither of us wore them to the waterpark of course) because his didn't really fit, but I wore mine every day. It was just fun and silly and it made the pictures really cute. We'll never have to question which pics were from the honeymoon. Also, with the ears (not as much with the buttons because they're harder to see) we received TONS of congratulations from CMs and other park guests. It was just fun. I wouldn't trade wearing them for anything, it was a great experience. (Get the headband, not the cap-cuter and way easier to wear)

There was no way on earth Paul would have walked around the Disney parks with the Mickey Groom ears. I was pleased enough that he wore them for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. I got him a baseball cap with Groom on from David's Bridal and then I wore the Bridal Ears this was just after our wedding. I also wore them when we boarded the Disney Magic. It was fun to have everyone congratulate us, but I tire easily of wearing this stuff, it's not that I'm boring it's more that I'm fidgety LOL

When we got back to WDW after our cruise we stuck with Mickey and Minnie bride and groom pins - I don't see them anymore anywhere, but basically Paul's was Mickey with Groom written underneath and mine was Minnie with Bride underneath. Lots of our servers and Cast Members would notice them and congratulated us and we had on most of our ADR's that we were on our honeymoon and that gave us all the special moments we needed.

We had a blast wearing the ears on our honeymoon. I did have to make a deal with DH though that we wouldn't wear them everyday, and there were certain restaurants he refused to walk into with them on (Jiko, CA Grill, etc). We wore them for probably about 75% of the honeymoon. It was a lot of fun to get all the congratulations from the park guests, and it made the wedding seem to last just a little longer :)

I say go with the free pins from town hall. The ears make for cuter pictures, but it seems like everywhere you turn you see someone wearing them. We got TONS of well wishes from both CMs and other guests with the pins, as well as a few magical moments. I know at least for my hubby the ears wouldn't fit, and the headgear would have driven me nuts after about ten minutes with that veil. I think it's totally up to you and your comfort level. Just remember there are other options.

I wore my ears at least 75% of the time. Hubby only wore the top hat occassionally as it was pretty snug. I didn't know about the pins, or if there were anyfree ones at the time. But then again, I'm not a big pin person. We did get congratulatory words, our own boats/ride vehicles instead of sharing with others. Plus since it was noted on our ADR we received special desserts or other moments.

I saw tons of people wearing them, including high schoolers. One group of high school girls made a comment about me wearing them to the affect of 'I doubt that she really got married, he's not wearing any' ouch, but so what. I enjoyed the attention and the last few days of being the bride.

It's probably going to just end up being me wearing them. My FDH's head is a bit too big for the top hat ears. We will probably still buy them, to try and take a few pictures, but probably won't wear them all the time. I burn easily (after living in the Northwest) and like to have something with a brim. We will probably get the baseball type hats with "Bride" and "Groom" on them.

Really appreiciate all the responses. Looks like we'll definitely get a pair (and I'll go for the headband - I can't keep ears on for anything). Don't think we'll wear them at Victoria and Alberts, though :teeth:
