For those of you who are interested, the Bride Ears have been discontinued. This is the one with the traditional ears hat with veil attached. They will continue to have the Bride Headband with veil.

That's actually better. It was a pain to keep that Mickey Bride Ears hat on.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I wanted to wear those on my honeymoon (whenever that would be considering I don't even have a boyfriend right now ;)). That makes me sad. :(

Oh, those were really cute. I am always sad to see anything be discontinued at Disney.

that is sad. i tried both on, and am so glad i went with the "hat" style. A couple of safety pins did the job of keeping it on, and I think it looked 100 times better.
Glad I got mine when i did, but that doesn't realy help out anyone else
:worried:

You just know that they're going to be hitting eBay for twice to three times their value now. :teeth:

Don't sweat it...check EBAY!

I have 4 more years until my 10th anniversary maybe I should buy them now and save them until then.

Yikes! I hope you meant bobby pins! I can't imagine safety pinning a hat to my head. That would take serious dedication! :rotfl2:

I've been doing that for a few weeks now, and all I find are the headbands.....I need a pair of hats for my trip in Dec. I don't think the headband will go over too well, but I'll have to settle...er, she'll have to settle, as I'll still get to wear the cool top hat! LOL! :smooth:

Until next time,
John

Have you tried LaughingPlace.com to see if they have them there? They usually charge a little more, but they might have them in stock still.

Just told my daughter-in-law to hang onto hers. It's not going onto ebay, though, sorry. Too many happy memories of her and my son going around Epcot with those hats on right after they got engaged.

I spoke with the CMs at the information desk. She looked it up and told me they were discontinued. I asked her how they made these decisions. I know that was stupid. She has nothing to do with it, but it just amazes me the things they decide to stock and not stock. For instance, there are tons of the Valentine ears available. They stocked way to many of those. Hardly anyone bought them. I could have told them they would not go over well.

They are also currently out of most of the different versions of GOH badges. I've been hunting for a couple of different ones unsuccessfully. I will be heading to the parks to see if I can find them. Of course, the CM had no idea when they would get them in. She said "Can't you just use the ones we have?" Well, no. Oh, well. The moral of the story is to never assume WDW will have a particular merchandise item. If you want something, buy it when you see it. It may not be there tomorrow!

I know nobody asked for it - but if you really wanted the hat, you can make your own. I had to do that for my honeymoon because my head is REALLY big. Disney did not make the men's hat big enough for me - and my wife didn't really like the idea of a wedding "beanie" anyway. :)

Here's a post with pictures of the end result, and how I made them.

They worked out great. They were comfortable, and relatively sturdy. If you do decide to this - I caution you to purchase a small hot glue gun. I packed the hats, and the bending and jostling caused the ears to fall off of mine. Fortunately, we rented a car and we were able to get a mini hot glue gun at Walgreen's to repair it. They held up beautifully at the parks.
