Bride and Groom Ears

Where is the best place to get your bride and groom ears? Also when do you recommend wearing them, and does disney (or anyone else) make a baseball cap for bride and grooms to wear? I really would like this option because I have a large head and would be afraid that the top hat would not fit. Also my bride would like to have one so that she will be protected against the sun since it is in June. Thanks for any help you can give me.

You can get them in the parks. Most couples wear them everywhere, for most or all of the trip. I found I liked the pins better (which you get at city hall in MK). Disney only has the top hat for men (which is fairly small), and the beanie or headband for women. I made ours with standard bride groom wedding hats, so they were the ball cap style.

Hi there!

Well, there are bride & groom baseball caps out there (not Disney that I have seen) because my cousin gave me them for my bridal shower. I know they have some at David's Bridal but you can also search ebay or something. Any number of stores on Disney property sells the ears. Or, you can call their merchandise number and have it shipped to you...or there is always ebay! The merchandise number is probably somewhere on the main website www.wdwinfo.com

Those are great Melissa!!! Wonderful idea. Those are the caps me & my hubby have without those great ears (of course, he forgot his!) Come to think of it, i had a million accessories plus all of the monies, papers, etc. and he forgot that, a white shirt and black socks. Figure that one out! LOL.

PrincessMo-thank you. It's a guy thing, that's why when it came time to packing mom and I packed EVERYTHING, while my hubby played video games. It worked out perfectly, nothing was lost or forgotten hehe

My DH was glad to wear the top hat ears...although I will admit they seemed a little small.

I decided to make my headband ears and they turned out pretty good (I went a little overboard on the glitter, but otherwise they were cute!).

I used an old pair of ears I had and traced the shape onto that thick craft foam, then just hot glued them to the headband. It worked great!

I imagine the same idea would work for the hats. I considered doing those but then I'm not really a hat person...

I used the hats on Oriental's site, BUT if your hubby has a big head you may wanna shop around, as these were still very tight on mine. I then took actual Mickey ears, and removed the ears, and sewed and hot glued them onto the caps. I've also seen brides who used foam, but I found the real ones worked better (I tried it both ways). I made my Mom cut the official ears, as I thought for sure the Mickey Police would burst in any minute to arrest us for ruining Mickey ears, it just seemed wrong to do in some way.

My DH and I had bride and groom ears. We absolutely loved them. They helped the CM’s make our honeymoon extra special. One word of advice on the ears. When you wear them CM's will talk to you about your wedding. They might give you things or even let you cut in line. People who are just enjoying Disney will talk to you and congratulate you. That is all wonderful it adds to the magic of Disney. But if after all the craziness of the wedding you want some alone time leave the ears at the hotel for the night because it is hard to be alone with them on. We loved the ears don’t get me wrong. We never had to wait in line. We were sung to by waiters in alfredos, and by the group in Canada in Epcot. We were able to skip through countless lines with free passes. We even received wine glasses from Cindy's. They make wonderful memories just be sure to get some alone time in as well. That’s what honeymoons are for. I just went to www.ebay.com & typed in 'wedding cap' and 51 results came up with different kinds, including the ones melmel posted (minus the mickey ears)...maybe check it out and see if you like any of those there!
