I was wondering if I should buy a bridal purse. I like the ones that have the drawstrings so they are like a little bag but i didn't know if it was worth it. Does it get in the way? What do you put in them? Makeup? LOL I am confused! :confused3

Toni, I got the cinderella coach purse.. It was funny because Michelle said that I can give these to my flower girls.. I said 'NO i want them for me'

So I got a drawstring purse for my makeup.. thats it...

Yeah I was thinking of having something for my makeup and to also hold some Motrin because I have a feeling I will have a headache that day..lol. but I don't know if it will get on my nerves having to carry it around. It seems pretty light though.

It is light.. the cinderella coach is beautiful.. If I dont want to hold it I will give it the MOH...lol...

What *can't* you put in a bridal purse? :rotfl: Mine had lip gloss, blister-blocker Band-Aids, ear plugs, Hollywood Fashion Tape, feminine hygiene, safety pins, bobby pins and even - this is how nerdy I am - a rolled-up white trash bag to sit on in my dress in case the Roots wanted to do sitting pix. NERD!!! :rotfl2:

I got a small, cheap bag on eBay for $5. Totally worth it. And the DFTW assistants will keep track of it for you!

I've ordered the white silk drawstring purse with mickey heads on from Disney Floral. It was a lot of money for what it was. I got one for myself and one for my bridesmaid. I could have had it with petals in it, but i'm going to put make-up and medicine in it. Plus i'll use it again if i go out in the evening.

I'm going to put a disposable camera in my bridesmaids so that she can take pictures of us getting ready etc. :thumbsup2

Lurkyloo you are an insperation to us all. :rotfl: I can't believe how much you got in yours. All essentials though!! :rotfl2:

I bought on from DB on sale. I put my camera, lipstick, room key, and a few other odd and ends. Honestly, I never used any of the stuff including my camera. The only time I even touched my purse was to get the lipstick for a touch up (and that was because we did an additional hour of photography after the dessert party) and to get the key to the room at the end of the night. In hindsight, it seemed like a waste of money.

I am buying a quilted vintage-y looking bag from Davids and dying it. That way it will be a beautiful blue and I would totally use it as a clutch again.

I am against buying stuff for the wedding that will only be used once. Except for the dress but I am donating that so it will assuage my guilt :)

i did the same thing! I can't wait to have it. I only ordered one for me, not for my BMs or MOH. I think its worth the investement because it goes along with our 'hidden mickey' theming. (not actually a hidden mickey theme...more like little hints of mickey throughout the ceremony and reception ie, mickey crystal earrings, mickey crystals on my veil, small silver mickey heads on the invites, etc) And I'll have it to put momentos in from the wedding.

I had the Mickey purse and definitely used it. I had my room key, some cash (who knows why :rotfl: ), cell phone (we called my grandparents while waiting on Randy and my co-workers called me right after the ceremony), camera, lipstick, rice papers for blotting oil on my face... During photos (DH and I went alone with Randy) I just threw it on the ground.

Hey that trash bag thing is a great idea!!!! That about sounds like what I would put in there. I probably would load it up with drugs, Motrin, Immodium, Tums...LOL

I cannot go anywhere without a purse - even my wedding day. I am always eating my lipstick off - so I will definately put that in there. Some tissues, maybe one of those fold up brushes, my small camera and whatever else I think I might need. I love the white trashbag idea. I will definately use that. I purchased a silver crystal and bead purse off ebay. I am not sure if I want white or silver - but the silver one can always be used again. I will have to see when it comes in and when I get my dress.

I used mine. I put powerder in there, supposedly the lip gloss that I left. Some money and my room key for sure. My ID so that we could buy champagne on the way to our room at the Poly. Have you noticed the trend here lately....

I hadn't thought about this yet but I thinks it sounds like a good idea.... not sure if I will purchase one or maybe I could use some of the cloth I have l saved from my wedding gown( it was white but after 18 years its not so white now and my VR gown is ivory.I had my wedding gown and saved some of the cloth. Have to think about this)....thanks for the idea:goodvibes
