I ve had to admit defeat as i ve been desperately been trying to grow my nails but have found due to my work that they keep breaking :sad2: so am gonna have to get false nails put on for our wedding. Am not a big fan of them but at least they ll look great in photos:thumbsup2

Was just hoping to see some pics showing how everyone had their nails done. I know some brides had a little nail art put on their nails so just would like some inspiration:goodvibes

If anyone can post some pics id love to see what you had done

Thanks Ladies :goodvibes

i didn't have "nail art" because I didn't like the stuff on my nails, but i would recommend getting pink and white acrylic. It doesn't chip so it lasts!
I had my nails done 8 days before our ceremony

Mine were my real nails, and I just had a basic french manicure done at home, three days before the wedding. Those were the longest three days ever trying to make sure I didn't chip the polish!! :lmao:

Good topic!* I would be really interested if anyone got their nails done in Orlando as we are planning to be there about 1 week before the wedding and know I can't keep a manicure looking good for that long!* I know there are places at Disney you can go but hear it's rather pricey.* Would love any tips about places in the Orlando area that are reasonably priced we could drive to.* Thanks!

I've booked Valencia Salon on Wheels to come in to our hotel room the day before the wedding to do my Moms and my nails. They were cheaper than the salons on Disney but not sure how the prices compare locally.

A cheap and fast manicure is easy with a white paint pen. They sell them in arts and crafts sections at places like Wal-Mart, etc. You can just run it across the tips of your nails, and then put a couple of clear coats over the top of it. I do this for pageants and such. I then carry the pen with me, so if I need to touch up, it's right there.

I also have gotten acrylics on many occassions. Pink and white powder is the prettiest and the best. If you put a gel coat over the top of it, it will be super shiny for weeks. With the two-toned powder there is no chipping! I think it would be fun to have them airbrush a little white hidden mickey on your ring fingernail. Or even put some little crystals on for a sparkly hidden mickey! :cutie:

My nail lady at home just put acrylic over my natural nails. She didn't use tips or anything. I hate fake nails, by the end of the honeymoon I was ripping the acrylic off. There is no way just nail polish would have lasted..it would have lasted a day for me lol.
