Do you have a stone/brick in the Walk of Memories between Disneyland and DCA? If you don’t would you like one? What does your stone say or what would you put on your stone? I would like to purchase on for my DH’s birthday. I am having a hard time deciding what to put on it. Should it be just he and I (our wedding date, the date we met). I think our two boys would feel sad because they would like to see their names on it as well. Is it wrong for me to give my DH a gift that is actually for all of us?

My husband got me one for Christmas; actually, he didn't really have a choice, I told him that's ALL I wanted and I would be VERY disappointed if I didn't get it. And, accidentally, I found out early. But I just got my replica in the mail last week. It's SOOO cool! I can't wait to have it placed. He ordered in October, 2007, and it won't be put down until May, 2008, so it's not a quick process. Here's a picture of it:

I had put the word EST. before the 1988, but they said they couldn't do that. I could have put our wedding date, but I just went with the year.

Our family would like one. How do you go about getting one and what is the price? Thanks:surfweb:

We would love to have this done. I had no idea they could send you a replica! That is so cool!

If we do it I'll want to put all 3 of our names on it, my son would have to be included there! :)

We have one! We got ours during the 50th anniversary and the kids love looking for it every time we go.

The email address for more info is DL.Bricks@disney.com

Here is some info on the bricks...

Each brick may contain 3 lines of script with up to 16 characters per line. Spaces and punctuation are counted as characters. All names must be separated by a space, comma or hyphen. Inscriptions are automatically centered.

Brick inscriptions may include proper person or family names, a single date, and a place (such as Anaheim, CA). No other information, including, but not limited to, slogans, titles, memorials, messages, copyright information, company or group names may be included on the brick.

A brick sponsorship is $150 and for an additional $35 you can purchase a 4-inch acrylic or wooden replica of your brick for your desk or mantel. Please note that although a brick sponsorship will not be taxed, a replica order will be taxed (7.750% state tax) if it is being shipped to California or Florida. Shipping is included in the price of the replica.

I think ours was $150 or so. We also got the replica & it sits on a table at home. Ours sits near the star in the middle of the esplanade, near the "ray" that points NW.

We have a 50th anniversary brick. We always visit it before entering the park. We leave all the 'bad' with the brick before we enter the happiest place on earth!

I was struggling over what to put on it. My son and I have different last names. So it didn't make sense to put X family or Y family because one of us would be left out. I didn't want to just put Monica & Trevoy because that would sound like a couple. I called, asked if I could put Mother & Son. The CM I spoke to didn't know, so she checked with her supervisor and they agreed to it. I have not see any other brick with anything other than names, dates and places. Of course I haven't looked at all the bricks out there.

We have one too, for the 50th anniversary. Ours says The Omar Family and lists all 4 of our names. My kids would have been devastated if they weren't on the brick too! The replica sits on our mantel. I highly recommend it. We too love to visit our brick before entering. You won't regret getting one.

My only question is, what will happen to all the bricks over close to DCA when they re-do the entrance plaza over there? I have a friend whose brick is in front of the O in "California".

The bricks are very fun! We have one for my family down the street at Angels Stadium (season ticket holders and been visiting since the 1970's, just like DL) and it is always fun to stop by and visit the family brick.

We've been wanting to get one at DLR ever since they started the program, maybe this is the year.

My mom got our brick for us Christmas of '04. DSIL got one too. Theirs isnt far from ours. We visit it everytime we pass by. I wish I could go visit it now.

I remember when we were looking into this 3 years ago that there was a date of how long the bricks are guaranteed to be there. Does anyone know this information?

With the renovation of the DCA entrance, I wonder if they'll rip up all the bricks?

Silly Little Pixie .............I remember your brick! My DS8's name is Omar so that one stuck in my head!
How long does it take to have it put in?
Gosh I just got our taxes today and am so tempted...........I should not be allowed to handle so much money!

We have one of the 50th bricks. We got the wooden replica instead of the acrylic (or whatever the clear ones are made of.) It says our first and last names and our wedding date.

I didn't realise they sold bricks at DL - we may finally be able to get one! :cool1:

DH and I thought about it when we first saw them at WDW but didn't get one at the time. Then, when we finally decided to go ahead and get one, they had stopped selling them over there! :sad1:

Thanks for posting the pictures - both of the bricks and they replicas - they are soooooo cool! :hippie:

We have one of the 50th Anniv. ones too.

It has our last name on top and then all our first names below that.

Wish I had a picture!

We have one it says dear husband and my name and our wedding date with the bell logo. Were thinking about adding another one with our son name!

If you ask here and know the location, maybe someone could get a picture for you. A WONDEFUL Dis member took a picture of ours after it was placed, since it was another 8 months before we were able to get to the park. It made me so happy to see our names at Disneyland even when we couldn't be there!

We have 364 days before we return to DL or else I would offer to take the picture for you!

I've been wanting to get one for awhile. Doing some research, it's 10 years guaranteed, and if Disneyland for whatever reason removes it within those 10 years, you get your money back..So I'm guessing the ones in front of DCA that get taken out will all get their money back..

LOL!! And since ours is right in front of the entrance turnstile, it is the easiest one ever to find!! I'd hate to have one of those somewhere in the vast middle...:rotfl:

DH ordered ours before Christmas in 05, but it didn't get installed until May 2006. A good excuse to go to DL so we could look for it as soon as it was put in!!
