I have had my eye on this pie maker after sampling different creations my friend had made. It is originally $99.00 but William Sonoma has it on sale until Labor Day for $49.99 plus an extra 30% on sale items. I scooped it up this morning:)

The extra 30% off code wouldn't work on the Breiville Pie Maker online. Did you get the extra 30% off in the store on this item?

I don't even know what a pie maker is. I was raised to make pies and I don't have a clue what you are talking about.

I ordered multiple items, I called them direct and the 30 percent was applied

If you have a gas oven, you can not achieve the same contsistency and eveness as an electric oven. That is why most die hard cooks opt for a duel fuel range. The pie maker is electric and for someone who has a gas range, the difference is great and well worth it.

Never heard of it but sounds like you got a great deal....congrats and enjoy your pies :)

I've had my eye on one of the pie makers for a long time. It will be great for making pies in the summer when I don't want all of the heat from the oven. Thanks!

Those pies look so yummy! Wow, all the possible combos...
Too bad I wouldn't be able to convince hubby to get another kitchen gadget.

I saw several reviews stating you needed to cook your pie filling before putting them in the pie maker...kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it?

Depends on what you are making and the pie crust you are using. Some people love it and some hate it. For me, I prefer the use of electric while baking and while my gas maytag continues working, I cannot justify buying a replacement to bake pies.
