Just so you know as a Bear fan I'm equally estatic - he is so past his prime, just winging the ball up hoping for the best the last couple of years. I know, having Green and others back will make a difference - not. Good to see the Pack waste a #1 pick on a QB Aaron Rodgers who won't see the field for another year. Best thing for the team was for him to move on, they are not going to win anything this year, with him or without him. Sorry. (One of the only topics that fires me up on the DIS - football).
And what about the poll last week in Milwaukee paper that 82% of fans wanted him gone?
Rogers will have his time. I think things are going to waaaay look up. Favre is NOT past his prime!! No way! And polls?? Who cares about them. I sure don't! This will be his last year, I know that. People are going to be very quick to forget last season.
BTW, if you asked those people that answered the polls, most would probably say they are glad he is back!
I think he is hurting the team, first with his indecision and now with his decision to stay with the team. He is not the quarterback he once was. But hey if the Packer fans are happy, more power to ya!
I am glad you are happy. I hear all the time that most Packer fans are quite ready to have him head out and call it a career. Seriously, and NOT to be rude, but really, he really can't help your team. Your team needs to develop someone NOW to take it to the next level. Brett Favre will do you no favors by being there.
Still, if YOU like him, then I guess it is great for you. I would rather be starting a young QB and hope he become the NEXT Brett Favre, cuz the one we have seen for the last 2 years ain't all that good.
IMO people who love Favre should be really depressed right now. Rather than go out on top of his game he'll have another losing season with tons of INT's thrown at the end of games.
I'm a huge Favre fan and IMO this is a sad day. Packers fans should have been real upset with him. Rather than go out and get a QB in his prime they wait for Favre who is past the point where he can pick up a mediocre team and make them great.
Actually I WAS a HUGE fan of him. I just think it is time for him to go, and more importantly, if you are a Packers fan, it is time for you to let go of what was, and look to what will be.
I'm glad he'll be back another year. I'd hate to see him go out on the season that the Packers had last year. Here's hoping he goes out on a high note! (But not higher than the Steelers of course! ) Go Brett!
Sorry but you will hear a lot of this around the nation. Many of the experts were thinking he was leaning on retiring and they were prepping for their tributes. You haven't been hearing this stuff because people didn't think it would happen.
I heard that he was coming back this morning on the radio!! I am happy. I was worried after the way last year went. He can still play, he has lots of football left in him, and hopefully alot more records to break. Brett, Brett, He's our man! If he can't do it noone can.

I think that he is a man that truely loves the game of football, and would dearly miss it if he were not playing. Do I think the Packers will make the Super Bowl, probably not (although, as an ultimate fan, every season brings that glimmer of hope!). Do I think things will be as bad as last year? Nope, I think last year was flukey. Take it as you want, I am just glad to have our leader of the Pack back.
