Breaking up direct contract

I like the idea of two 100s best. But to get the blue card benefits and still be able to off load some pts, perhaps the better route is a 150 and 50. It’s reassuring that many of you think splitting it up is a good idea!

150+50 is what we also did the first time, for similar reasoning. The second time we went with 3x50.

I'm happy to have been able to help with your decision!

Just curious, have you made the purchase (signed the contracts)?
We had not signed yet bc we were still deciding if we wanted more, although we’ve started making payments and our deposit.

We split our VGC 300 points into three 100 point contracts for each of our kids for our estate planning. However, we bought a large resale contract at Aulani which we haven't figured out how that will be split.

Anyone ever try only signing the 'primary' contract of a split deal? Say, hypothetically, you split VGF into 100 and 50, then only sign the 100? and reject the 50?

I don't know that anyone has tried it but, given that they sign the docs only after you sign, that deal may very well never get completed.

They reduced the minimum in March to 100 points so a new buyer can go that small for first contract. but they still need to have 150 total for extras.
Thank you for your advice. Since posting this we've decided to add another 50 points (250 total). Re-reading your reply, and others above, was helpful in determining if we should go 150+100 or 150+50+50. We're going to split that extra 50 as it's own contract. 150 on 1, and 50 x2.

Cant wait for the dues to start.... :/
I'd say the more 50pt contracts the better, but you still want your benefits, so maybe 150+50+50 would be best.

While we ended up signing both, we originally got a 150 and a 50 so we could think it over and keep the deal if we decided on just the 150. Our guide said that was fine and they would rewrite the contract and the incentives to be only on 1 contract.
