Interesting ... I (and a CM I talked to) didn't know what anyone at Space Mountain (or any ride) could do something about the tickets - were they really validated there and also, did you get something like this at Space Moutain?
I found out at BTMRR that (I thought) the tickets weren't validated. I was told to go the entrance to get my ticket activated. I found one CM who gave it to another CM at a turnstile, and I thought that was it. Then, the first CM said no, it didn't work. She had to go talk to a supervisor in the little office shack, who came out and said that the ticket could not be validated/activated. I was given a fastpass card and had another problem at BTMRR, but eventually got a Fastpass much later .
I was also stunned that the "key" to getting in was a simple wristband, without any text or Disney customization. I was thinking that somebody was going to put a photo on twitpic and then ..
