BREAKING NEWS on Pirate Costume Codes!

Just the fact that it is random makes me happy, and not that there is a limited supply.

It means there always is that off-chance that you'll get one. Don't know why they just didn't sell it to us.

What would be a great idea is if they sold individual pirate costume code cards (not random, but actual prize retrieval) at Disney Stores. That's a way to make money and people are happy with their costumes. Problem solved!

I don't think these statistics are very accurate. Saying the odds being 1 in 5,000 codes, shouldn't there be a whole lot more costumes out there than what there is? You should be seeing costumes at almost every turn. Most of us have been playing almost non-stop at this game since it opened. On an average weekday, you are looking at close to 2,000 people on VMK at a time. At that rate, someone should win every 3rd code they get, which would take what not even a minute at most for slower typers 2 minutes. So having the codes at 1 in 5,000 should be producing so many people with them at first, yet you aren't seeing THAT many out there and it has been 3 days now.

I'm back from my dinner break but am going to extend it thanks to massive arm pain, but I wanted to pop in and say that my guess as to why you aren't seeing but a few is mostly 2 reasons:

1. Some people might not want to wear it now for fear of being bombarded with trade requests

2. Many people have stored up a lot more codes than they have been able to put in due to fear of being banned. So, many of us could have costumes sitting and waiting for us in our word processors and just don't know it yet.

A CL was GIVING me a seagull hat and the system wouldn't let me trade. I ended up quitting the trade to try it again, but he/she vanished.

Narnia became common because someone broke the game open and pulled the winning codes. They were able to grab 10,000 codes and pull the winners. This time VMK has not labled the codes so pull all you want, but unless you want to type them all in you have no chance of knowing you have a winner.

Actually good on VMK's part to do this, but bad for the rest of us, since we have to enter codes as well. Atleast this game won't be broken as quickly as Narnia.

Aww - Speed! I wish I would have know. I would have told you. Still not too bad of a deal since you have more pin sets left. After you gift the 20, we could think up something really fun for you to do with the remaining porters. Hmmm.....

I can see it now - a maze, Narnia style! Or we could drive ppl insane and do it prior to gifting: Can you escaped the lion maze?
