There sure is a lot of siesmic activity out there. Although a 4.4 earthquake isn't too bad. Thank goodness it wasn't worse.... I hope everyone is okay.

Arnie!!! "Get in the chopper.......NOOWWWWWW!!!!"

Wow....my best wishes for everyone in the area.

Sounds more like an involuntary shudder.

Possibly in anticipation of the ABD invasion? :scared1:

I don't think people even get out of bed for a 4.4.

I read a really scary crackpot theory on the Interweb (No?? Really? Something crazy on the Interweb????) about how all the earthquakes are a result of the giant Hadron Collider in Switzerland.

It's created a giant black hole inside the earth and all the quakes are it trying to "get out" :happytv: OR :scared1:????

I've been in San Jose for a 5.0. I've had movements bigger than that. :scared1:

It woke me up, but it wasn't bad at all. The thing about earthquakes is you never know if they're going to get stronger as the shaking continues. That's the part that always scares me. Luckily this one was no big deal!

Yes, that the part that worries me. I was in the Loma Prieda quake that flattened a freeway here. That one seemed to go on and on forever. Now whenever we have even a small one, I get worried because you never know if it will stop or get worse.

Two years ago I was at Disneyland when a 5.4 hit in nearby Chino Hills. We were getting our APs when it hit. DH and I went to stand in the doorway but then I realized we left our tickets on the counter so I ran back to get them because I was afraid if we had to leave the park, we wouldn't have them. :rotfl: When it ended, they made everyone stand in the middle of the "street". Rides were shut down for hours and some never came back up that day. After a few minutes we went back in and finished getting our APs. We now have an earthquake plan if our teen boys go off on their own. We arrange to meet somewhere after an earthquake because cell phones might be down or busy.

Right - we slept through it.

DW jumped out of bed, but I just laid there waiting to see if it was worth the effort. It wasn't. DS8 and the dog slept right through.
