Hi my fellow Disney lovers,
Can anyone suggest a good sit down breakfast?(buffet is good to) Want something nice for our anniversary.
Thanks all :-)

The Wave is our favorite breakfast on site. Lots of local/organic super fresh options. You can either order from the menu, or just hit the buffet. The food is really very good, and the price is more than reasonable!

Table Service: Kona - Our favorites are the Pineapple Macadamia Nut Pancakes, the Samoan (eggs benedict), the Big Kahuna (for a large appetite or good for sharing) and Pressed Pot Kona Coffee. The Tonga Toast is very sweet so something that we would share.

Buffet: Boma - A nice selection of familiar breakfast foods and additional items with African spices and flavors and Frunch juice. Also an opportunity to explore AKL, see the animals, talk with the CMs, there's art in the lobby to view and a great gift shop.

boma / wave/ grand flo cafe/ hopefully the replacement for Kouzinna....also there is a Blues Brunch at House of Blues that might be fun for a celebration.

These all look go good too nad i can only pick one. Thx everyone!

For me it would come down to what resort you are staying at. Many have mentioned Boma, and yes it is a very good breakfast buffet; However, I personally would not want to travel all the way out to the AKL to eat breakfast there and then head to a park. IMHO, it is too difficult and would take up too much time. If you are staying at the AKL, then that would be an excellent option. I base breakfast ADR's off of which park I am visiting. If I am visiting DHS or Epcot then I personally enjoy Cape May then take the short and quick walk to Epcot or hop on the short boat ride to DHS (often walk it as well). If I am in the MK, I love Crystal Palace and a 8:00 am pre-park opening ADR. At the AK, many recommend Tusker House ( I have not tried it). A couple of other places I personally enjoy for breakfast as well have been Captains Grill (Yacht Club), Whispering Canyon (WL) and Ohana.

Does it need to be on property? If not there is an amazing place called Kekés at Dr Philips.

Yes we are not renting a car, thanks I will keep this in mind for another trip!

We are staying at the boardwalk and going to Epcot in the morning. I was thinking about doing Akershus but no reservations there

Thanks for all the help! :disrocks:

I would keep checking each day for Akershus; I have snagged ADR's in the past, last minute because of someones cancellation. Another restaurant you may like that is at the Boardwalk is, Trattoria al Forno (not a buffet). This restaurant just opened a couple of months ago and the reviews here on the DIS have been pretty good. Since you are doing Epcot this day I would recommend staying in the area for breakfast and choose from the ones I mentioned. Captains Grill has a menu breakfast as well as a buffet and is a nice quiet restaurant; Trattoria al Forno I would imagine would be a quite sit down as well; and Cape May is a very nice character breakfast buffet with Goofy, Minnie and Donald and is one I always visit even when it is just my wife and I. :goodvibes

Kona is a must do for us. If you appreciate really good coffee and Tonga toast looks like something you want to try, do it.

Our favorite breakfast is the Kona (and that's saying a lot because we are not big breakfast eaters!)
