Has anyone ever had breakfast with the Grinch? What is it like? Would it scare a little one? Is it a buffet? Anyone know how much it is? :confused3

We did this last December, and were doing it again this year,it was absolutely brill:thumbsup2 ,the character interaction was the best we have experienced, and our young daughter aged 8 absolutely loved it:rotfl2: .The breakfast was buffet, and very good.Icant remember what we paid, but it was not expensive. The restaurant is open early to cater for early bookings.

Cool maybe I will call then. My DS is 8 and the other DS is 19, plus DSFriend is 18. Not scary thought? :scared1:

Didn't really see your review of the grinch breakfast though.

I extracted the review from my trip report. Hope this helps. As I mentioned before the Grinch did not appear. The Cat and The Hat appeared instead.

Our day started with a nice walk along the path between the Hard Rock Hotel and City Walk. We entered Islands of Adventure at 9:00AM for our 9:15AM reservation at Confisco Grill's character breakfast. Confisco Grill is located in the Port of Entry at the front of the park. Here's a photo of the Port of Entry. As you can see the skies were a bit overcast this morning.

Characters who appeared today where Spiderman, Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 and Thing 2. Since this breakfast is not heavily attended you get a lot of character interaction time. I believe Spiderman spent 5 or more minutes with us at our table. All the characters do a great job. They each perform some sort of skit or comic routine to help you associate with them.

The breakfast is a buffet where you go up and get what you would like. The food is basic breakfast fare with scrambled eggs, hash browns, etc with one exception. Today, they had green eggs and ham sandwiches. I tried one and now, I can honestly say, "I do not like green eggs and ham Sam I am, I do not like them at a character breakfast, or in a theme park Sam I am!" Yuck!

Our service was a bit spotty considering the restaurant was not very busy. We didn't see our server very much. I waited for a refill of coffee for about 5 minutes, but other than that it was ok.

The total cost of our bill with tip and 10% annual pass discount was $52. Not expensive, but certainly not cheap either. I do believe with the amount of character interaction we received and the quality of the food it was worth it. This is the only character meal you will find in either of the two theme parks. I would suggest giving it a try; especially if you have Spiderman fans in your household.

Oh wow thanks so much! I thought there weren't any characters. It looks cheaper than Disney's character Dinig and truth be told if he saw Spiderman that would totally make his trip.:thumbsup2

Thanks I'll call today and hope they have an opening.;)

Danni Linn,
you will absolutely love this:rotfl: ,you will struggle to better the character interaction in any other character meal. The best part of it for our group was the grinch,he was so funny:rotfl2: ,and the best of it was he sounded just like in the film (jim carey),maybe it was;) ,lol.

OMG he talks too?! My son is gonna flip :scared1:

Who told you Grinch was supposed to be there?

I've never known Grinch to make an appearance at Confisco's buffet breakfast.

AFAIK, it's Thing 1 & 2, Cat in the Hat and Spidey.

you know what it might not be him, I was reading everything so quickly, but he can meet the Grinch at some place. I'll let you know after we get back, but that's ok either way he'll be thrilled. He loves Spidey too.

The Grinch was at your character dining?

Just don't want you to go into breakfast and expect the Grinch to be there.

Grinch makes occassional appearances in Suess Landing...across from High in the Sky Suess Trolley Train Ride.

Well the websight does say that starting Dec 6th you can meet him, shake his hand, take a pic and get an autograph so they must be doing something special there.

Thanks for looking out for us though I do appreciate it.

the grinch appears there only during the christmas season. it's a special thing that is tied into the whole grinchmas celebration during dec. the grinch does talk and interact with guests during the breakfast.

I knew that....was making sure the other poster knew that. ;)

Thanks guys appreciate it. I double checked and we are there on the 11th and the Grinch will be there for that special Christmas thing you were talking about. I'm SO excited!! :yay:
