Hi,

I am Spanish and I am not really familiarizated with the american meals portions. The next October we are going to WDW with DDP. We are staying at POFQ.

For breakfast what are the better options??? use a snack credit or use a CS?? I know that we can use a TS credit but I think that is not worth enoght.

Please could you explain us what we can eat for breakfast when we use a snack credit?? or a CS credit??. If it was possible i think some pictures help us to understand the size of the portions in WDW.

Thank you very much. Regards.

We are going in a couple of days. We are planning to use our

snack credits for breakfast. (bagels, crossaints, donuts) Also, breakfast is the least expensive meal of the day should you decide to pay out of pocket.

counter service credits for lunch because you get a dessert w/ it. If you use your counter service for breakfast dessert is not included.

table service for dinner.

Hope you have a great trip!

My husband and I shared a couple of counter service meals for breakfast (and lunch, too!) because there was just so much food on the DDP. My DD likes croissants and bagels, and those count as a snack credit.

Thank you very much for your answers, but I don't really understand the size meals portions yet (sorry!!!)

With 1 snack credit I can eat for instance ONE croissant or ONE bagel can't I? but can I drink some coffe or milk or chocolate with the croissant or I need another snack credit for the drink??

Can anyone explain me what can I eat for breakfast with ONE CS, I am trying to check if it is enoght food for 2 adults.

Regards.

You would need to use another snack credit for the drink. Your best bet would be to either pay for breakfast out of pocket if you expect to want snacks in the park, or to use the snack credit to buy the most expensive item (probably the bagel/croissant) and pay out of pocket for the less expensive items (ie drinks). Since lunch is a more expensive meal it makes more sense to use the cs credits for that instead of breakfast.

Here's an example of one of our breakfast counter service meals at Coronado Springs: one omelet, hash brown potatoes, bacon or sausage, biscuit or muffin, and juice or coffee. It came in a little skillet.

Thanks cmm

and this food (1 CS credit) is enoght for 2 adults??
I thought so, especially after having eaten some of the table service meals the night before! I don't know whether the portions are similar at other resorts. I have only stayed at French Quarter and Coronado Springs under the dining plan. I do know that Coronado Springs had HUGE pastries that were one snack credit. You should check out your resort counter service when you get there. I also found the lunches to be perfectly reasonable to split, unless we needed to use up counter service credits. If you are on the dining plan, I think you will find that those TS credits really fill you up.

Another good way to see potion size is to check out the Disney food pictures thread-- it's sticky"ed" to the top of this board. You will find many CS are enough for two adults to share. This is more true of the breakfast platters at the food courts. Here would would get eggs, potato, biscuit and bacon or saugage some offer toast in there. Main Street Bakery offers 2 pastries and 1 drink for 1CS credit as a good example of a CS breakfast that could feed two. Also if you are planning on eating breakfast at the resort food court investing in a refillable mug might save you having to buy the drink so say 1 Snack credit for a bagel, muffin etc and your drink is whatever in your refillable mug. Also 1 SC can buy a box of donuts which could feed two. These are all breakfast for lunch there are similar options.

Dont forget you can get the refillable mug for coffe or whatever and then you have your drink taken care of and can make a meal with a snack credit for a pastry.

A CS meal is not the best use of your DDP credits because breakfast is cheaper than lunch most of the time. We generally paid for our breakfasts (with money). If you try to share a breakfast, you'll have to share a lunch somewhere along the way, which we never did. You CAN do it, but you might not want to, and if you plan to pay for anything, you're smarter to pay for breakfast and then use the DDP for lunch. If you buy the refillable mug and eat breakfast at the resort, breakfast won't cost you that much money.

For a snack, you can get ONE item like a muffin, bagel or croissant, OR one drink item--but not both for the same snack credit. We used some snack credits to get bagels and muffins and such, but we also paid out of pocket (which means we paid money for them) for some of these as well.
