Currently have breakfast reservation at O'hana's on our last day. Booked it as a reason to visit Poly because it's my favorite resort. :flower: I was going to book Kona then realized O'hana's breakfast has characters, so better yet. As the trip draws closer I'm starting to analyze things more. I've had character meals at 1900 Park Fare, Cinderella's, Chef Mickey's, Norway and Beach Club. The Beach Club was by far my favorite because the variety of characters. I met Chip & Dale, Pooh, Snow White - so many. But that was in 2004. I am considering changing to Beach Club if they still have character variety. Suggestions? We don't have park tickets for that day, so can't be in the park. Also, we are doing DxDP and only have 1 TS each to spare.
Thanks!

Sounds like you have the top ones listed. We are doing 1900 this time to see the mad hatter, Alice, Tigger and Pooh. We also want to check out the resort. Beach club gets good reviews.
My wife wants to try out Ohana since stitch is there.

The food at Ohana's breakfast is not great. It's like they serve you a food court breakfast including those yucky mass-cooked-from-a-powder eggs.

OTOH, the food is excellent at 1900 Park Fare. There is an omelette station where you can get fresh eggs cooked to order. Plus a bagel bar with smoked salmon and all the toppings. Strawberry soup. Eggs Benedict.

It's the best breakfast food in Disney IMHO.

I would go for 1900 Park fare for both food and characters, Cape May comes in second. For us, it depends on where we are staying which we do. Have a great time!

Ohana's was my families favorite breakfast, but with the stories I read this morning of the changes, probably not anymore.

Beach Club is very nice. Also if you aren't visiting parks that day you can tour the Boardwalk and enjoy the sights.

What changes? I haven't seen anything.

ETA: I saw what you're talking about, Rob, in the other thread

Well, I thought Ohana's food was bad when I ate there a few years back, and now it sounds about 900 times worse. And what's more, at least if they still had good character interaction, you could forgive the lousy food.

If I had an ADR, I'd switch it to some place else.

I'd go for the Beach Club again-it's by far my favorite. It seems to attract more adults, just because of the convention trade. It's kind of funny to see sometimes, people who made reservations there, not knowing it's a character meal, just a place to eat breakfast, then they show up to Minnie and Donald.

As others have noted, you will only see Minnie, Goofy and Donald at Cape May. The food is good, but not a lot of character variety, IMHO. I'm not a big fan of O'hana for breakfast. As PP's pointed out, the food is pretty gross, IMHO, so if you aren't there for the characters, it's not a great breakfast.

You will find the most character variety at 1900 Park Fare - Winnie the Pooh and friends (I've seen Tigger and Pooh, but I don't think that's common), Mary Poppins, Alice and Mad Hatter. The food is very good. You'll see the fab 5 at Chef Mickey's but the food is not great. The new Bon Voyage breakfast sounds fun (Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Ariel and Prince Eric), but I haven't been, so can't really comment.

Thanks, folks. Helpful bunch you are. It's good to know about the sucky food at O'hana. Yikes!:scared:
I think the characters at Trattoria will be a little over our heads, so I am trying for 1900 PF. Grand Floridian is my second favorite hotel. :tongue:Unfortunately, they have no availability at this time. I subscribe to Touring Plans and submitted a request through their reservation finder. Fingers crossed. Plan B is Beach Club.
