I'm considering a character breakfast for our last day. Any recommendations? Is there anything that is not a buffet?

We love the breakfast at Ohana. Lilo and Stitch and friends. It's served family style and brought to the table. It's all you can eat as well. Scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, biscuits, fruit and pineapple bread. I like this character meal a lot. They are always great to our DS.:thumbsup2

I second Ohana and though I am normally anti-buffet we are the Crystal Palace (Pooh and friends) this past trip and LOVED it. We did have an early ressie so that helped. I also enjoyed Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast, but it is expensive...

Kona or GF cafe. both have great breakfasts, non-buffet.

I vote for the character breakfast at Ohana (Poly). It's served family style, which my family loves. You can ask for more of any of the foods. We also love the fruit they give you and the pineapple bread. YummY!

We did Crystal Palace last October and it was great. We had an 8:05 ressie and would do it again in a second! There was so much to pick from although it is a buffet. It wasn't as stressful as CRT or Akershus in terms of having camera and autograph books ready for the 15 seconds that the characters stop by.

You've heard them all! LOL I love, love, love Crystal Palace (I had heard great things about this)and even more loved 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. But! Both are buffets, sorry.
I was not looking forward to GF to be honest other than the characters (did both breakfast and dinner) so I wasn't expecting much because they are buffets, but boy was I suprised!! Even my hubby said he was pleasantly suprised! And for him to make a comment this is big! LOL This was the biggest wow on our trip, we were so excited after breakfast the first day in WDW that we were soooo looking forward to dinner ADR's.

CP has Pooh and gang, and GF 1900 Park Fare is Alice, Madhatter, and Piglet, and Mary Poppins, well the last time we went they were there. And dinner is Cindy, Prince, Wicked Step mother and sisters, I hear they are a real hoot!

It sounds like you don't like buffets, but this one is not to be missed, it's a great alternative for CRT, you have much more time with the characters. A tip for you, if you make your ADR's late in the morning you'll have a much more relaxed time and lots of time with the characters. I made my ADR's for 11:10 a.m., when we got there at 10:50 there was a little bit of a wait, and the dinning room was full, but almost as soon as we sat down the place started clearing out, we felt so relaxed and well it sounds corny....at home. It just so happened that I had made the ADR's for dinner late also 8:10 (got there at 7:40), once we got in there the place started clearing out <yes we bathed>, everyone wants to get to Wishes. We didn't really care if we made the fireworks so it was no biggie to stay and relax and enjoy the place to our selves, talk about awesome time with the characters! Cindy and Prince and the two girl mice were there (This has changed to the two step sisters)and the mice were putting on quiet the show, well all of them were at one point. LOL It was so much fun, even my DS14 had a great time, that should tell you a lot. ;) And what do you know, after dinner we got up to the Monorail platform and asked to sit up front since there was nobody else around, we got up there and we actually got to see Wishes while riding the Monorail, it was a truly magical Disney moment. I couldn't have planned it better if I had tried. :cloud9:

Forgot to mention <I know the mind reels at what I could have left out after that long post, right?> if you make your ADR's for Crystal Palace for the first ADR time 8:05 a.m. you'll get into the park before it opens and you'll have Main St. to yourself and no crowds for pictures in front of the castle, this is a major plus! I loved coming into Main St. and almost no one around, it was so special and loved having the Picture of the Castle with also no one around. CP is sooo pretty, at the end of Main St. you'll turn to your left like going to adventure land but turn a little harder left as your walking towards AL and see this beautiful white building in a gorgeous setting beyond the water, walk over a little bridge and you there, it's one not to miss for breakfast and characters.

Ohana's is very good and is not a buffet per say, but is all you can eat that is served family style to your table. And although Cape May Cafe is a buffet, it is a great breakfast, also:thumbsup2.

Crystal Palace is wonderful for the character interaction and the setting, but it's probably not a great last day thing.

How about Chef Mickey's? The food's not stellar, but it's not bad at all. And you get Mickey waffles, plus pics with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto.

I'm kind of leaning towards Ohana. I looked at the menu and it looks delicious! The potatoes sound wonderful!

I wish there was a character breakfast that wasn't all-you-can-eat.
