I want to have breakfast the day after the wedding with all of our guests. There will be 20 of us altogether, where do you guys think is the nicest place for breakfast? I want something quite nice but not too pricey!

I'm planning on having a 'Newlyweds Breakfast' as one of my wedding events at Kona Cafe - I loooove the breakfast there!!

However I hear lots of people love Boma for breakfast too!

We hoad ours at 1900 PF. They have the best breakfast in Disney IMHO.

We ate at Kona Cafe after our Escape wedding in June. It's not particularly fancy, but the food is really good!

For our Farewell Brunch in Jan, we ate at 1900 Park Fare at the GF. The food was buffet, but it was all really good, and the characters are a lot of fun. It was a really good group thing and not terribly expensive. Plus, as a annual passholder, you can purchase a Tables in Wonderland card which gave us 20% off the meal (which would actually work for almost anywhere you choose).

The GF itself is fairly "fancy," so even though the restaurant is buffet, the experience is nice.

I've got Kona Cafe booked for 16 for breakfast the day after our wedding. We'll be at 4 tables, but as long as they are close to each other, we'll be fine.

Melanie-
If you contact Grand Gatherings and register your parties as a Grand Gathering, you can call Group Dining and give them your GG#, this ensures the tables will be together. I have 2 meals booked this way. One for dinner at Biergarten (19 peeps) and one for breakfast at Crystal Palace (20 peeps)

HTH!! :goodvibes

We're having the same dilemma. But for ours, we've basically going where we'd like to have breakfast and saying to our guests, "The day is yours but if you'd like to join us, we'll be [here]." I don't want us to make reservations somewhere only to have it book up right away and it only be us because I know there'd be family members who'd like to join us. It's just not in our budget to pay for that "event" as well. Any suggestions there? Thx! :)

I did call Grand Gatherings, and for Kona they said I needed to call them directly to book. I am pretty sure the tables are going to be together because the CM did some calculations while making my ressies to see how we'd all fit together.

Malefi - we were going to do that: 'if you want to join us, here's where we'll be', and I booked for 16. However, now that I'm having a DP, I made up an "event schedule" that will go in everyone's welcome bag and it includes the breakfast.

If anyone wants to contribute, that is fine. Either way, I am using my Tables in Wonderland card and that will get me 20% off for 10 people. I don't anticipate everyone wanting to go to breakfast. I booked for 16 but we'll have 12 max, so closer to the ressie I will call and change the # of seats I need. But that's another reason I booked Kona rather than a buffet breakfast, because I just can't afford to feed everyone at buffet prices.

We're planning on doing this as well. We're going to send out a newsletter at 6 months with the places we plan on dining and asking for people to respond by about 3 months out, if they're interested (not a firm yes or no). We're going to word it pretty much the same way you are, as well as include the average cost per person.

Thanks guys :thumbsup2 I will have a look at 1900 Park Fare and Kona.

If I register as a grand gathering, do I have to order from a group menu?

I am not sure about the type of group you are having but if you are having a fun-loving group, or a group with lots of kids "Whispering Pines" is really funny and always a good time!

Thanks, CharacterFan! I really like the newsletter idea. I may be able to have my bridal party and close family as feelers to see who would be interested...now we just have to figure out where! We were thinking a buffet just because of the fixed price and variety. Thanks! :)

I'm thinking of having a rehearsal breakfast at... damn forgotten it's name... The French place at Epcot that's open for breakfast before the park??? You know where I mean... :lmao:

If you want a buffet, Cape May Cafe does a nice breakfast. It is a character meal but it is very laid back. I think it is around $18.99/adult. I know it is less money than Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Faire. The characters are all in their beach attire and just walk around and visit with each table. No loud music and interrupting your meal every half hour or so for celebrating/napkin twirling like at Chef Mickey's.
O'Hanas also does a nice breakfast and they have some larger tables. Theirs is also a character breakfast but it is pretty laid back as well. The food is brought to your table served family style (large platters in the middle) so it is not a buffet.

This may be a silly question but is it possible to do this with a larger group? 50 -100? Is there anywhere that has a room or space to hold that many for breakfast?

Oh thank you! I will look at those places too. Gosh, I really don't know where to pick now  I suppose I will have to see what is available seeing as it is less than 90 days.

Ok, I have narrowed it down to 3! Cape May, Kona and 1900 PF! Now which one do I choose? 1900 PF and Cape May are both character breakfast's right? I don't want somewhere that will be too noisy for a bunch of people who will prob have a hang over, so what do you think?
