Breakfast on the Boardwalk

Hey All, quick question...
DH & I are staying at BWI in April & the Bakery took my favorite breakfast off the menu. It was just a simple bacon, egg & cheese sammie but it hit the spot. I checked their menu & it's all "fancy" food now. I also checked Trattoria al Forno & the sit down & quick services at the Yacht & Beach. Everything seems to be arugula this & mozzarella or provolone that w/ sauce etc. & neither of us can handle anything too "fancy" at 7:00am LOL. Dinner sure but early morning no way. So does anyone do scrambled eggs or mickey waffles? We'll probably be on the deluxe dining plan as we're planning on some Signature dinners.

I’m pretty sure the Beach Club quick serve offers scrambled eggs and Mickey waffles. I’d encourage you to give Ale & Compass another look. I have a pretty basic ham and cheese omelette with toast almost every trip and I’m sure they’d leave the arugula off for you. No eggs or waffles but the bakery in France is a quick walk away and opens at 9 for a breakfast of pastries (bonus - mimosas too). I’ve had the egg scramble at Trattoria al Forno as well and they were able to omit the “gravy” if that makes it any more appetizing to you (also they have a room for meal only and you’re able to order items ala carte - no characters).

It may sound fancy, but the food really isn't. We had the butter butter sandwich at Boardwalk Baker in August and it was pretty simple, just very rich. Beach Club Marketplace has a bounty platter (eggs, mickey waffle, bacon, etc.), plus a breakfast sandwich (eggs, bacon, cheese) as well. Ale and Compass has an "American breakfast" (eggs, sausage, potatoes). Those are all very simple dishes!

Mozzarella isn't fancy ...the ooey gooey is an Italian spiced ham (capicola), with cheddar/mozzarella, egg and a tomato.

And the Bakery has a plain breakfast sandwich - an everything bagel with cheddar cheese and a fried egg.

They also have a ham, egg and cheese sandwich on brioche bread (it's just buttery) with fontina (it's a mild cheese) spread - cream cheesey.
