Breakfast on dining plan

We will be staying at POR with free dining in just 5 short weeks :cool1: and I have a question about the dining plan and breakfast. I understand that if I use the plan for breakfast it includes one juice, the entree and a non-alcohol beverage. My question is do they allow any substitutions? I plan on purchasing a refillable mug for my much-needed morning Diet Coke and do not drink coffee or tea nor do I feel the need for a juice with my soda. I guess what I am saying is I really don't need the two beverages. Is it possible to take a bottle of water for the parks and maybe a chocolate croissant  or a rice crispie treat for later? If that's not allowed, do they have cans or bottles of Diet Coke that I can take back to the room and put in the fridge? Thanks!

Most of the time when we went last year, we were able to get a snack instead. I was told no just one time though.

Just got back in September from my stay at POR.... they did not let me do any sustitutions with my QSDP. I usually just ended up using a snack credit with my refillable mug or saving dessert from the night before to have in the am. They have a really nice fruit bowl (prepacked) at Por that I just about lived on.:goodvibes

I guess it can't hurt to ask but maybe grabbing a snack with my refillable mug is a better way to start my day. This way I can sleep in a few minutes later and then get to the parks quicker where I can have a decent CS lunch instead. Thanks!
