Currently we have Akershus booked for breakfast on our Epcot day- however the only reason we booked it was because my 4yo ds wanted to see the princesses..... two months later he is telling us over and over again that he no longer wants to eat with the princesses, and only wants to eat with Pooh and Mickey (good thing we have CP and Donald's Safari booked)

So- if we decide to cancel where else can we eat breakfast thats close to Epcot? Can be character dining or not

We are staying at POR if that matters

Thanks!

If you want a sit down meal you could eat at Kouzzuna on the Boardwalk, or you can always pick up breakfast at the land. It is counter service and they have a yummy kids french toast.

The best breakfasts on property use to be served at Spoodles at the Boardwalk, but that was replaced by a faddish celebrity eatery (a.k.a. Kouzina) last year. As a backup, I'd recommend the Yacht Club galley which has a very nice breakfast buffet. It's usually uncrowded at early hours, since all the mobs head for the eateries at the Beach Club.

We did Chef Mickey's on our EPCOT day over spring break. We took the bus from POP to the MK and walked to the Contemporary, where Chef Mickey's is. After breakfast we took the monorail to the TTC and than to EPCOT. It only took about 20 some odd minutes. Chef Mickey's has Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto.

The breakfast at Kouzzina is wonderful, with an appreciated balance between standard menu items and creative dishes. There are no characters present, but it's a great option if you're looking for good food.

I know your son said he is only interested in eating with Pooh and Mickey, but Cape May Cafe has a nice breakfast buffet with Minnie, Goofy and Donald. It may be overkill, considering you have two other character meals scheduled, but it's an option.

The other place worth considering is Captain's Grille at the Yacht Club. An earlier post referenced this restaurant by its former name, the Yacht Club Galley.

Does POR still have breakfast at Boatwrights? That used to be really good, but I seem to remember it being discontinued.

I don't know your situation, but I wouldn't waste a park day going out of my way for a sit-down breakfast. I would either eat at the resort food court before leaving, or pick up something quick when you get to the park.

Your hunch is correct. Boatwright's is only serving breakfast nowadays.

Being near Epcot, I would go to Cape May Cafe at the Beach CLub if I am hoping for a character breakfast. It is so lovely. Of course, I love the bagel, cream cheese, and lox bar there.

Another vote for Captain's Grille breakfast. DH and I stumbled into it on our last day we were there and we were so sad that we did not find it earlier. It was so quite and it was fantastic eating a meal without all that hustle and bustle around you.

and yet another vote for either Captains Table or Cape May (which you'll need an ADR since it's a popular but good character breakfast). CT is not a character meal but has a nice buffet or order off the menu option.

FRESH at the Dolphin is also good although the adults enjoy it more, but kid's items are available. Spoodles in now Kouzzina and they also have breakfast, I've not tried it though. There is also Garden Grove at the Swan and on the weekends I believe there are characters. All are within either walking or boating distance to Epcot.

Anytime anyone asks about breakfast at WDW I always tell them that I think the best breakfast a bit out of the ordinary. I like to get to the Boardwalk as early as I can, before there is really anyone there. I go into the Swan or Dolphin and grab a Starbucks and then to either the Boardwalk Bakery or the little bar off the lobby of the Boardwalk resort and grab some fruit and a bagel. I either eat it out by Crescent Lake or on the little porch on the back of the Boardwalk resort.

It is very quiet and peaceful in the morning in that area and the price is much better then you will get at any of the restaurants. I am not a big breakfast eater so it is perfect for me.

Just something a little out of the norm to think about.

Starbucks!? Is there one in either the Swan or Dolphin? Is it a full-service Starbucks...carmel macchiatos, frappacinos, etc.? Staying at BWV so that would be huge!

I wanna try Captain's Grill!

What's the best way to get from CSR to Captails Grill then to Epcot?

Thanks! :goodvibes

Car or no car?

You can walk to Epcot from Beach Club, very short walk.

Oops - sorry I didn't say - we are sans car this trip - for the first time.
I'm still trying to figure out the easiest and most efficient use of Disney Transportation :rotfl:

Guess we should bus to Epcot - walk to BC - walk back to Epcot?

Cape May at the Beach Club. The food is fabulous, the character interaction is wonderful and it's just a nice start to your day.

If you're going to rush to the Land Pavilion for Soarin', you can get a very good breakfast at the Sunshine Seasons there. Last time we went, Soarin' was posting a 50 minute wait, and FP's were for a return time of 50 minutes later! So guesss what- we sat & ate a great counter service meal instead of standing in line for close to an hour.

It takes a little getting used to especially from resort to resort.

You can either bus to Epcot and walk to Beach club. Or bus to whatever place has a bus that comes first to your stop, get off there and catch a bus to Beach Club.

There are pros and cons to each. It is probably quicker to bus to Epcot and walk. But the walk from where the bus drops you off and Beach Club is fairly far. You have to walk all the way through the park to the international gateway (inbetween England and France) and walk to Beach Club from there.

If you bus to Epcot and then bus to Beach Club, it will take longer, but less walking.

1) You can do breakfast or brunch inside Epcot "The Land" at Sunshine Seasons.
2) You can also get your Fast Pass for Soarin' while there.
