Breakfast in Room

maybe ask on the budget board too. I seem to remember creative in room breakfasts being right up their alley!

I will try there. I did a search before asking the question but didn't find too much. I'll look on this board and see what I can find. :thanks:

We stay in a DVC studio and do cereal in room. Milk and juice in the fridge, you can buy a variety pack of vereal from most resort stores. Also we sometimes spilt a breakfast at the quick service. Consider also buying some toast/brown bread at the quick service it is super cheap like 50 cents for two nice pieces! You can heap it with Peanut butter , jelly, honey, butter it is all free! That is one cheap breakfast and quite filling.

Do you mean that the peanut butter, jelly, honey, and butter are free from the resort? Just buy the bread?

Do resort food courts have toasters and microwaves for resort guests to use?

They are free just by the condiments in the morning by the milk etc at the resorts. Just buy the bread for toast it is in a little basket by the toaster. It is only 50 cents for 2 slices. Yes food courts have both microwaves and toasters.

If you book a room at a DVC resort you get a toaster and microwave and kitchenette in your room. This can save a lot of money too. We can get take outs.

We are DVC owners but you can book direct with Disney a studio room at for example Saratoga Springs or Old Key West. You can also rent points which is cheaper from owners or an agent but there are risks to that.

I didn't know that! That is awesome! :cool1: We are staying at POR so we will not have a kitchenette but having a toaster/microwave available with bread and condiments is a good option for some of my family.

I have stayed at POR and enjoyed it very much. They do have a toaster and microwave. Love the boat to Disney Springs!

We are DVC members so we almost always eat in our room. Sometimes it's a simple coffee cake, other times it's cereal.

DVC here as well, so we have every breakfast in the room, except one.(we usually stay in a one bedroom so we have a full kitchen) As well as a lunch or dinner here and there as well.

We were just there for 11 nights and did all our breakfasts in the room except for one (Kona Cafe). We brought along small boxes of cereal, granola bars, crackers, peanut butter, small packages of nuts, beef jerky sticks. We also purchased additional items at the resort gift shop (NOTE: DVC resorts and the Fort Wilderness camp ground have more grocery items than other resorts.) Those items included a 5 pack of bagels, milk, and cream cheese. We had intended to go to the resort food court each morning to use the toasters, but that seemed like to much hassle and would take extra time that would be better spent sleeping. We found out that we actually liked bagels with cream cheese untoasted!

We stay anywhere for 8 to 14 nights and usually do breakfast all but a couple of days in the room. Belvita breakfast bars are one of our favorites. We ordered Garden Grocer for the first time last year, it was a little more expensive but honestly, saved a ton of money over us spending 20 dollars a day on breakfast. Got our juice and water from them too (plus i hate Disney toilet paper so I got to order my Charmin!) Half gallons of milk from any of the resorts will fit in the small fridges. We also ordered hard boiled eggs (I think there were 6 in the bag) and that worked out really well too. When we do cereal, we pack a regular size box in our suitcase and then just got milk at the resort, that worked really well when the kids were younger. They ate and watched Stacy! lol
