when i was little my mom used to make breakfast for dinner all the time. we hardly ever ate anything other than cereal or fruit for breakfast during the week and on the weekends we liked to sleep in. so about once/month my mom would make pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausage, and we'd have breakfast for dinner. when i got married i continued the tradition. i actually made breakfast for dinner last night. my dh thinks it is weird and he had never heard of it before meeting me. my sister's bf had the same reaction.

so have you heard of breakfast for dinner? do you ever make breakfast for dinner at your house? :thumbsup2

We probably have breakfast for dinner twice a month or so. We don't think anything about it and honestly sometimes it's just because it's easier to scramble up some eggs and cook up some slices of bacon then make a big full meal.

I had breakfast for dinner last night, scrambled eggs, english muffins, bacon & oj. I love it, easy to make, no defrosting. I do it often. More for me than dh.

Yes, we do every once in a while. Last time my DD6 said she was not going to eat because it ws breakfast food, and it was not breakfast. We told her she could eat it (bacon is one of her favorite foods) or starve).

I wanted breakfast for dinner last night. . . almost walked in the snow to the supermarket to get the stuff. I never have time eat 'real' breakfast in the morning- but love it! Might as well eat it for dinner! YUM!

That's what us Brits call a big fry-up! Mmmm, lovely.

Maybe not with the pancakes, though.......

Growing up, we did this at least once a month. I like it. DH, however, didn't have the same exprience and thinks it is odd, so I don't carry on the tradition (unless he is not home for dinner).

We do this frequently, especially during the summer.
I make pancakes from scratch and serve them w/ fresh fruit...yummy!

My boys request Biscuits and Gravy, eggs and hashbrowns for dinner all the time. I wonder if they know this is really breakfast food?! We also make egg sandwiches when we need something quick and easy.

We love to have breakfast for dinner, I actually cook that night :thumbsup2

We did this a lot growing up. Even at my grandparents homes.
When I married and did this, my DH was a bit puzzled.

We dont do it often unless hubby is out of town of business.

Sometimes I just like a bowl of cereal for dinner. My 2 DD's dont mind it either.

We go to diners for dinner where I always get ham & cheese omelot with home fries. :goodvibes

We had this all the time for dinner growing up. Now I still do! It's quick and easy!

I'm more likely to have breakfast for dinner than at breakfast time. We used to do that a lot when I was a kid. Actually I stopped by earlier this week and Dad had cooked eggs & chourico with peppers so I helped myself :rolleyes1

Yep, we are usually in a rush in the mornings so Mrs. AA makes biscuits for supper when we want some.

This used to be a Thursday Night ritual when my kids were a bit smaller. One week it would be french toast, another pancakes, etc. I'd try to make it well rounded by having stuff like fruit, too. Eventually, my kids got sick of it and now it is more a spur of the moment thing.

My mother use to do this every once in a while when we were kids. However Hubby has expressed an odd disdain to the idea of breakfast for dinner. Why? I don't know and really it's an "Egh. Whatever." :confused3 with regards to me.
