Why is it OK to have pancakes or eggs for dinner, but when you ask for a steak with mashed potato's for breakfast the waitress gives you a funny look?

Dinner all food/ all day

Cold pizza is good in the morning, too! ::yes::

Don't a lot of people have steak for breakfast - i.e. steak and eggs?

I have no problem eating dinner for breakfast - I love pizza for breakfast. I also love potatoes for breakfast, i.e. home fries. I can come up withmore examples but you get the point - I am with you.

I eat the "opposite" all the time. I am very hungry in the morning and want a heavier meal and usually don't want much for dinner. Lasagna for breakfast......yogurt for dinner!:teeth:

This thread has me cracking up, because it's 10am here and I'm eating mac and cheese.:teeth:

DH eats White Castles for breakfast quite often. DS likes to have breakfast food for dinner, he calls it a Topsy Turvy Day (I think he got that from the Hunchback).

I was just asking my husband the other day: Who came up with the "rule" that you have to have pancakes, eggs, cereal for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch, and meat and potatoes for dinner?

My son (age 3)sometimes asks for a hot pocket for breakfast. I could care less what he eats as long as it's somewhat nutritious and he actually eats it.

White Castles!:hyper: I miss them soooo much! Sometimes I get them frozen.........but there's nothing like the real thing. I am originally from Ohio.......buy em by the sack!::yes::

I say, if you want to have dinner food for breakfast, have at it. Research shows that it makes no difference when you eat certain foods of the day. After all, in ancient Roman times, while some of those who where a little more well off would have eaten slightly more prepared meals at night, many had the same cuisine throughout the day, and there was no distinction between Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner.

Besides. When isn't it time for nice, cool one? Sometimes I'll even meet my buddy Normy for a beer during a morning break from delivering the mail.

I eat whatever I feel like, whenever I feel like it, so count me in as another person who doesn't "follow the rules." :D

I often give the kids dinner leftovers for breakfast. They had spaghetti this morning (DS plain w/ parmesan, DD w/ white sauce). I figure it's better than a poptart!

I never have enough time in the morning for real breakfast, especially being Low Carb. I just make twice as much at dinner and boom, something I know is nutrious and enough of it.

13yodd will not eat ANY breakfast foods for breakfast. I rarely eat breakfast foods for breakfast.

Ah, nothing like a good chimichanga, pasta, etc., for the morning.:D

I don't like sweet stuff in the morning and I think that is why.

When I grew up in SE Asia, most people would have leftover dinner for breakfast - try having curry chicken or kabobs with veggies and rice for breakfast.

Cold KFC chicken is excellent for breakfast!
