Hi!

We are planning our meals for next month and are on the quick service plan. I have been looking at breakfast buffets on this site and a lot of them are listed as using quick service credits, however I'm wondering if this is too good to be true and the buffets are the exception to this?

My computer is down at the moment so I can't access my list of places to give examples and my phone internet is way too slow to even try but I believe this included the intermission food court, old port royal, etc.

The buffets are listed as being a TS (table service) credit when I just looked. No buffet has ever been a quick service credit from what I have read. If that were so, I think more people would opt for the QSDP. We have been on it for the last 3 years and have never been able to do a buffet while on it. This next trip we are on the regular DDP and are excited about the more choices for dining we will have.
You will still love the QSDP tho. I have a word document with the best QS places we like to eat on every trip. I am always updating it when there are menu changes.
Have a magical trip :)

There are no buffets, whether for breakfast or any other meal, that are QS to my knowledge. They all require TS credits.

These you've listed above are not all-you-can-eat buffets for one price or family-style restaurants where they'll bring as much food as you can eat for one price. That is why they qualify for the quick service credit. Here is a good source for knowing which restaurants offer all you can eat and therefore would not be part of QSDP, but you could certainly pay out of pocket.

Buffets and food courts are 2 very different things.

All of the buffets and family style "all you care to eat" restaurants at Disney require Table Service (TS) credits or OOP. The only exception (and I think it's still only a trial run) is lunch at the Pepper Market at Coronado Springs Resort where it is a Quick Service (QS) credit.

Food courts such as the ASMovies Intermission and Old Port Royale at Caribbean Beach Resort are included in the CS restaurants. You will get an entree or combo plate, dessert and a non alc beverage at lunch and dinner for your QS credit. At breakfast you can choose an entree or combo plate and a non alc beverage, but no dessert is included for a QS credit.

The Pepper Market has a lunch & breakfast buffet for 1 QS credit though, right? Or are they no longer doing it? If they still are, then that may be an option

The only quick service all you can eat breakfast buffet is at Pepper Market at the Coronado Springs Resort. There aren't any others.

The Intermission Food Court (I believe that is at All Star Movies) and Port Royale (Caribbean Beach Resort) are not buffets.

It does sound like you've confused buffet with multiple choices to choose from.

All the resort "food courts" do have many, many options for you to choose with the QSDP, but you still only get ONE entree, ONE dessert, and ONE drink. You don't get to go back and get more or choose more than one.

Intermission is actually AS Music; World Premiere is Movies

Nala just in case you're reading this I wanted to take a minute to Thank you for all of the great information you post every day. You're replied to my questions more times than I can count. So....Thanks! :worship:

Yes, the breakfast buffet at Pepper Market at Coronado Springs is one Counter Service credit and is a great deal-we were on free QSDP and really liked this option and were glad we stayed at CSR. It is a full breakfast buffet..omelets made to order, breakfast meats including wonderful crisp bacon, scrambled eggs, pancakes, Mickey waffles, various fruits and yogurt, pastry and breads area, etc. It is nicely set up too with various food station areas...not a long table set up with food. The buffet is very clean and nice...I would highly recommend.

They seat you and a waitress brings beverages that are included and refills-the coffee was great (didn't taste like that nasty Nescafe in the food court)...I had both juice and coffee. We left her a cash tip.

Coronado Springs also offers a full lunch buffet that is also one CS credit, but we did not eat lunch there as we were out and about during the day. The sign at the Pepper market said the lunch buffet had fajitas, pasta, pizza, salads, etc. I'm sure it is also a very good value!!:yay:

We did eat lunch at the new Quick Service Credit Pepper Market Buffet back in February, I just got done with my review. The review won't help you for breakfast really except to note the food was done well in general and I can heartily recommend the fruit tarts if they have them (if they're the same as the ones from Cafe Rixx).
