I saw that the Universal hotels offer breakfast at 7 am...would we be able to hit this and get to the park by 8:15?

TIA...I feel like a dummy planning Universal-I can get around WDW with my eyes closed! DUH!;)

I would think so, but, if you are staying at one of the universal hotels, I wouldn't worry about getting to the parks by 8:15. With FOTL, you will not have to wait in any lines if you get there at 9:00.

The Kitchen @ HRH offers a buffet or you can order a la carte. You shouldn't have a problem eating in that amount of time. You can walk to US in 5 min. from HRH, & IOA in 10. Breakfast at Pastamore @ CW is another option for you to consider. It will save you some time, if you're going to IOA, since it's on the same side of CW. It's a great spot for people watching & the food is good. Of the 2, I would choose The Kitchen, but they're both good.

As TammyAlphabet noted, you don't really need to worry about being there when the park opens, unless you want front row on the coasters. Pteranadon Flyers is another ride that you need to arrive fairly early for. Other than that, you can take your time getting to the parks. Flash your "magic" key, & you'll be riding in no time. ;)

We have a teenager who doesn't like to get up early. My DH & I enjoy a nice, relaxing breakfast in the resort, then go back to roust him out of bed. We're never in a hurry at Universal. :cloud9:

You shouldn't have any problems since the parks are so close. We could easily grab a quick bite and stroll to the park of our choice in way less time than that.

My breakfast of choice is a Cinnabon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We do not have any near us here at home, so I get them when I can.

When we went, there was a Cinnabon at City Walk and one in Island of Adventure.

if you are coffee drinkers, each room has a coffee pot and packs of decaf and real coffee.

if you stop at a publix before checking into universal hotels, stock up on breakfast type foods that you can keep in your room.

i forgot which hotel you are staying at.

hrh has the coffee shop and breakfast type stuff on the ground level floor you could hit in the morning.

others gave great suggestions also.

you could get breakfast foods at 7ish and leave your hotel at 8:30 and be at the park within 5 to 15 minutes depending on which on site hotel you are staying at.

have a great time and come back and let us know how you liked it !!
