Hello!

I need help deciding a breakfast option for our animal kingdom morning. We are staying at Beach Club and my boyfriend is not a fan of character dining. (So no Cape may cafe...) and I was looking at our options. We wanted to try Boma breakfast so badly when we were originally staying there but took it off our list when we switched resorts. I'm wondering if Ale & Compass would be good, the food looks good but I'm on the fence.

I'm wondering if I should book a Boma reservation for breakfast and just take a minnie van or uber early to AKL and then go to AK when we are finished or if I should just eat breakfast at Ale & Compass and have a more relaxed morning?

Or maybe there are good counter Service options for breakfast in AK? I would have done Tusker house but again, no characters lol.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Boma is a guilty pleasure of mine and it gives you the chance to check out the hotel and the animals. I do enjoy the omelets you can get there as well. I am not a big eater of sweet stuff but my girls each brought back a huge plate of various tarts, doughnuts and such.

Do you have a car? Transferring to AKL from AK would take a lot of time. Uber would probably be worth it. What time did you want to enter AK?

I haven't been to the new Ale & Compass, but I'm sure it's fine but an entirely different experience than Boma.

Depending on your overall itinerary I would probably do Ale & Compass on your AK morning and save Boma for an off/rest day.

I’ve eaten at both and would say Boma.

Boma is a great buffet, amazing amount of choices, and everything was delicious. I especially love the bread pudding and make your own omelets. It’ll be convenient to AK and easy to Uber over.

Ale and Compass was a pretty average meal, we had not so great service, and although some of the menu options sounded different than other places (for instance the salted caramel apple french toast) it was just a basic french toast dish with apples on it. Although that choice would be convenient to your hotel and slightly cheaper than Boma, I think you’d have a better experience at Boma.
