Breakfast at Yacht Club Options?

Are there any quick breakfast options at the Yacht/Beach Club?

The Beach Club Marketplace has an assortment of breakfast items.

We are going to YC next year, so I have been checking into those options. According to Allears and Disboards, the Ale and Compass Lounge has continental breakfast foods and specialty coffees. If anyone knows differently, I would love feedback.

Captian's Grille in YC is a table-service restaurant. However, you usually can get in and out of there pretty quickly since it's never crowded. You can order off the menu or have the buffet and with the buffet, there's no waiting so so you can be done quickly.

mcd2745 - I made an ADR for Captain's Grille but the earliest I could get was 8:50. Have you been able to get a table there in the mornings without a reservation? We'd like to go earlier than that since we're heading to Epcot that day. Thank you!

When we were there a couple of months ago (staying in the Beach Club), we ate breakfast in there 3 times - all with ADRs around 7:30am IIRC. Each time the restaurant was at least 75% empty. So it surprises me you couldn't get an earlier time.

hmm...that is strange. Maybe we can try to go in earlier and see if we get lucky. Do you know how close to a reservation you can cancel? If we go at 7:30am and can get a seat, is it too late to cancel an 8:50 ADR?

We were at YC last year for a couple of weeks and we ate at Captains Grill quite a few times. We loved that we could order off the menu or have the buffet so could have something smaller if we didn't want a whole big buffet meal. Had a great meal every single time we went.

I do remember them having a small coffee stand next door and I think they had things like danish too.

This, we found very annoying. We had breakfast there when staying at YC last year, about 6 or 7 times. We had a ADR sometimes, others we just turned up. I remember once we waited about 20 minutes and when we got inside the restaurant wasn't even half full The restaurant was never more than half full and there were always people waiting!

They don't seem to staff the restaurant well enough, which I find bizarre as I am sure people don't stay when they have to wait for so long, particularly when they have walked past and seen dozens of empty tables. They need to put more wait staff on so they can fill the restaurant and avoid long waits for already empty tables.
