Breakfast at TuskerHouse or Chef Mickey??

Trying to figure out which one of these we should do.....??!!:confused3

"Reviews" indicate that Tusker House is wayyyyyyyyyyy better than Chef Mickey's.

Reviews aside, I'd go with Tusker House for the simple reason that it's IN a park. That is to say that you don't have to travel to and from anywhere. You can eat your breakfast and then step out into the park immediately without having to factor in travel time.

We did Tusker House for BF and it was one of the best breakfast meals we've ever had at Disney. There is so many choices for food and the character intereaction is great.

I would do Chef Mickey's for dinner instead.

We have done both and much prefer Tusker House for breakfast. I feel the food and character interaction is much better than Chef Mickey's. Our AK day is always started with an early Tusker House ressie. :goodvibes

TH has the edge for food, CM's had the edge for character interaction.

....and if it is important, Minnie is at CMs and Daisy is at TH.

Having eaten at both Chef Mickey's and Tusker House, Tusker House is the winner hands down. I highly recommend trying for an 8am (8:05) ADR. You will get to walk in the park while it is empty and you will be ready for that first safri of the day at rope drop. Speaking for myself, if you cannot get an early before opening ADR, I would not bother. The food and characters are great, but there is nothing that would have me spend valuable morning park time at a sit-down meal.

We did both last October and Tusker Is MUCH better. the food was warm and very tasty. chef Mickey is on our never to do again list. The food was cold and it was soo noisy.

My husband and I are going alone for a long weekend and we have an 8:15 reservation at Tusker House. (I know we are suck geeks) We like it because it has a little of what you expect for breakfast and some things you can only get there + Krispy Cream donuts. We always have such fun there, with or with out the kids.:thumbsup2 We thought it would be a great way to start the day and then go right to the fun of AK.
I agree with trying to get the early reservation. One time we got a later reservation 8:45, and my husband got the fast passes for the safari as the kids finished up (it is pretty close). When everyone was finished we went right to the safari (although our bellies were so full the bumping didn't help)

Well good news! I was able to get an ADR for 815 on Fri 8/5 at TH and an ADR at 830 at CM on the following day which me may end up changing!! Thanks!

I love Chef Mickey's but honestly, no one else does. It always gets bad reviews and I have to practically force my family to go. I havent been for breakfast but the dinner is fantastic! Really good food! I have however done Tusker House for breakfast and it is the best! Great environment, great breakfast, loved eating there on our recent trip! I highly suggest it.
