Hubby and I Are doing the DDP for our trip from May 26-30th. We want to eat one breakfast at The Wave, using our one table service credit (we'll each pull a QS from another day to cover lunch and dinner that day).

He wants the buffet for breakfast, but I'm more interested in getting the eggs benedict (my favorite breakfast food). How does that work on the DDP, since the table service credit covers one entree and one dessert? There's no dessert at breakfast, so does that aspect of the meal get turned into credit for a side order (grits and bacon, anyone?) or does it go away, so I'll only get the entree?

It goes away and you only get the entrée and drink. You may want to just pay OOP for your breakfast and save that TS credit. The value of a TS credit is around $37.50 (including tax), so breakfast is not the best use for that. Even his buffet is only $19.99 plus tax.

That's a fair point. I'll talk to him about maybe scheduling a TS lunch or dinner on that day, since there are a few other places we both wanted to go.

The way it works now, breakfast doesn't include dessert period. No substitutions. You get an entree and a drink. I do agree that if you are concerned with gettting best value from DDP you should consider paying OOP for the breakfast and using the credit for a higher-value lunch or dinner.

Eggs Benedict was on the breakfast buffet at the wave every day we ate there. We have eaten there atleast 10x this year.

The way I read it, for breakfast you get a entree and a juice, in addition to another beverage. Can anyone confirm if that's how it works?

It used to be this way, but they took away that extra beverage a year or so ago. Now, if you're doing QS at your resort, you can still get the entrée and beverage and use your refillable mug for another beverage.

If it was me I would pay OOP for the Wave breakfast and either book another dinner that night, or stick with your 2 QS meals on breakfast day and change a different day's dinner to a signature restaurant that uses 2 TS credits.

The Wave breakfast is very fairly priced even compared to real world options IMO. I wouldn't use a credit there, especially if you're paying for the dining plan.
