...take it or leave it?? Considering either dinner or breakfast at Ohana since we are staying at the Poly. We've done dinner there before and liked it, but thought maybe doing something different would be nice. Just wondering what others thought.
Thanks!

We have done breakfast at 'Ohana's several times and have never been disappointed with it. As a matter of fact, I would say it's one of our top favorite places to have breakfast and we love the character interaction there also. We have also been there for dinner many times and love that too. We will be there again for dinner on our July trip and we can't wait. My mouth waters just thinking about it.

DH and I did it in Aug and it was great, the fresh made cinnamon rolls and pineapple rolls and pressed pot coffee....sooooo good! I loved Ohana dinner but DH wasnt too thrilled with it

my kids LOVE stitch so this was an absolute must for us, I went to this back before stitch was around and I loved it then too.:stitch:

Our kids loved it.:lovestruc The characters were great and I liked not getting up for a buffett. I would definetly give it a shot. Funny, we are the opposite; we have been there for breakfast but never for dinner and were wondering if we should try it for the next trip.

We have done dinner many times and tried breakfast last year. It was terrific! I have to say that I have no idea what they did to the scrambled eggs but they were amazing and I don't even really like eggs. Also they have a fun fruit punch they serve you which is different than something you would get anywhere else. I'd definitely recoommend it!

Yay! Thanks everyone...we'll be doing breakfast there on our next trip!

We have dinner there every trip but this will be our first time for breakfast as well. We are really looking forward to it!

In my opinion: leave it! The food was decent (although, honestly, it is the same food that's served in the breakfast platter at Captain Cook's - LOL) but the character interaction (at least in our experience) was soooooo slow. We were there for an hour and didn't even see Mickey or Pluto. I think that it takes so long because they do a konga line every 30 minutes or so, but it just really makes the breakfast drag on. Perhaps if you were not going to a park one day and wanted a long, relaxing breakfast than Ohana would be a good fit, but, other than that, I would opt for something else. That is, however, just my opinion based on our experience.

This is the only meal that both my kids agree is a must do this trip. They loved it and we thought the food was great!

We really enjoy both breakfast & dinner at Ohana. The breakfast is nice because it is served to you family style & Pluto and Stitch are hilarious. It is one of our favorite breakfasts and we hope to get an adr there this year.

This is our favorite Character breakfast! Stitch is funny...in a gross sort of way! And the food is very good. It is a huge plus for us that it is not a buffet.

I thought the breakfast was only so-so (good but not great) but my friend went with her kids and they loved it - it's the only character breakfast she requested for our June/July trip.

Its great. We always book an ADR for breakfast there!!!:thumbsup2

And from now on dinner!! That was awesome. The very best meal!!

how does Ohana breakfast work? I've never been there, it's all you can eat? but not a buffet? I do you get your food? How do you make your selections? :scratchin

They bring a big basket of the breakfast breads and a huge skillet/wok looking thing filled with the eggs, bacon, waffles etc. If you want more of something, you just ask your server.

dont suppose anyone hase photos of the breakfasts?!?!

we are doing it this June for the first time, i didnt realise it wasnt a buffet, am curious as to how it will work out for us... sounds great though, no getting up and down all the time!!

Leave it! After 2 horrible experiences, several years apart from each other, we won't be going back. Horrendously long waits, much too much character interaction which makes it almost 2 hours before characters make it around the room (this is the official time schedule they will give you at the restaurant and it's totally accurate, sometimes longer than 2 hours!), horrible food and terrible service.

Character breakfasts are grossly overpriced, but there are several other much better options on property.

Good luck, Tiger :)
