Which is the better option for breakfast? I just canceled our CM breakfast for Ohana and just hoping I made the right choice ;) We have never been to Ohana so I have no opinion on it.

I am interested in responses to this. We are trying to decide which meals we are going to make ADR's for and for our last day we are torn between breakfast at O'Hana or CM. Now, we have been to CM before, and the food is ok, but the experience is fun and our kids had a great time. We are planning on making ressies for O'Hana for dinner on our upcoming trip, so DH thinks we should just do CM, especially since it's a quick boat ride from WL, where we are staying... popcorn::

For our family, we would definitely choose Ohana. We are a family of five and our boys are ages 4, 11 and 12. Three of us love a big breakfast and two of us do not, but we all love Ohana.

Here's why:

1) Atmosphere: Relaxed and quiet (we usually have the 7:30am ADR) with a beautiful view of the lagoon and the castle in the distance. It's extraordinarily peaceful for a character meal!

2) Family style service: The servers bring the food to you, rather than serving buffet style. This means we sit down, enjoy the view and talk - no getting up for food, juggling plates, etc. No worries about missing the characters and having to flag them down or wait for them to return to our table.

3) Food quality: Great pineapple bread, yummy juice, mickey waffles, bacon, eggs, sausage, fresh fruit, etc. It's all fresh and quite tasty (and I don't usually like breakfast.) There's something for everyone, and again, it all comes to the table.

4) Characters: Quality character interaction - they never seem rushed. Mickey, Lilo, Stitch and Pluto. Granted, I miss Minnie and I'm not a Stitch fan. But Lilo and Stitch really are a ton of fun - our boys love them - and we still see Mickey.

5) Service: It's always been friendly, quick and efficient at Ohana for breakfast- we make MK rope drop with no rush when we have a 7:30am ADR.

I can't say enough good things about Ohana breakfast. Chef Mickey's is a fun place and I sometimes recommend it for first-time guests because it's a classic - but given the choice between CM and Ohana, Ohana would be a clear choice for us.

We like them both, but if I had to pick between the two, Ohana would be my choice :). We love the atmosphere and it's nice having the food brought to your table rather than going up to a buffet. One of my favorite things at breakfast is the juice......I can never get enough of it when we go :goodvibes.

I think you made the right choice as well. I love the restaurant itself, plus the food served is great. My kids especially love the juice. They also love taking part in the little parade around the restaurant with maracas.

I perfer O'hana to CM(which I will not be going to again, Yuck). Ohana is served family style if that makes a difference to you.

You did the right thing. The food at CM is terrible. Ohana breakfast is very tasty and the characters are great!

We actually like both restaurants, but my kids would probably say they prefer O'hana. You may make your decision on which characters you are hoping to see. Chef Mickey's has the Fab 5 and is a buffet. O'hana has Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch and is served family style. Both have mickey waffles!!
