I am trying to decide which breakfast to do with 2 teenagers. Ohana or 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian?
My son loves Stitch, but the menu looks better at the Grand Floridian.
Please share your experiences.

While I can't comment on the breakfast at 1900, we really enjoyed our breakfast at Ohana. My daughter really likes Stitch as well, and the character interaction was really good. The food was also very good for breakfast food. We are going again on our upcoming trip.

1900 PF is buffet breakfast with an option to have your own omelette made. 'Ohana they bring a skillet with potatoes, eggs, sausage and bacon. IMO 2 different style foods entirely.

1900 Park Fare has one of the best breakfast buffets in all of WDW. There is so much variety. The character interaction is awesome as well, we love the Mad Hatter (sometimes we book this breakfast just to see him LOL!) And then there's Mary Poppins, Alice In Wonderland, Pooh and Tigger.

O'Hana is ok, it is an all you can eat breakfast with very limited variety so if you don't like eggs or just tired of them then you're out of luck. Lilo and Stitch are here and they are pretty difficult to find anywhere else so if that is your intent then go with this one.

My choice between the 2 (as well as my dd's) would definitely 1900 PF - if you'd like to see our review with photos you can check it out here:

That's good to know. Thank you!

I think 1900 PF took a step down when they removed Mad Hatter from the dining room and placed him outside with a photographer.

'Ohana breakfast is the way to go! I'm doing that on my girls' trip. We're two in our twenties, and its the perfect balance of atmosphere and character interaction for teenagers and older. The stitch juice is a must ::yes::

OH NO!! When did they do that??

When we were there over Thanksgiving weekend. We kept waiting for Mad Hatter and finally asked the waitress if he's on break or coming around and she said oh no, he's outside the dining hall now with a photographer.

My DD14 and I did both on our last girls only trip. She is a huge Stitch fan, but he was the only good character interaction during the meal. Seriously one of our worst character interactions ever. We arrived about 15 minutes before our ADR. There was a family with 2 little ones in front of us in line, but they didn't have an ADR. When the hostess told them there were no available seats, I got nervous that we would be waiting forever. We didn't. We were handed a pager that went off about 30 seconds later and we were seated in a half empty restaurant. That really put a bad taste in my mouth right away, them turning away a family with small kids. We hadn't even sat down yet when Mickey stopped by. I thought he was just making a quick stop to say hi, but no it was his visit. I had to dig my camera out of my bag quickly. The remaining characters all stopped by our table within 10 minutes of us sitting down. My DD and I had DisneyBounded as Lilo and Stitch. She was Stitch with a cute Stitch bow in her hair, and I was Lilo and I had a Scrump bow in my hair. Lilo didn't notice any of it, and as with most of the other characters, the interaction was just blah. Stitch was great! He saw my bow first and was so excited! Then he saw my DD's and was just beyond thrilled. We both left the meal disappointed. The food was good, but not worth the price.
A couple of days later we had breakfast at 1900PF. OMG we had a wonderful time! We'd done dinners there before, so we were both looking forward to the strawberry soup. I also fell in love with the pecan sticky buns. My DD's not a big eater, but she loved the soup. The characters this visit were great. I will be so disappointed if they leave the Mad Hatter outside of the restaurant, he is hilarious! My DD and I were both enjoying the strawberry soup when he got to our table and he looked at our soups, mortified, and yelled "What is that?!?!" We told him it was strawberry soup and he said it looked disgusting. We told him it was very good. He told us that we were eating it wrong and ran to the back, yelling. I couldn't understand what he was saying, but he came back after a couple of minutes with 2 straws and told us "This is how you eat soup!" And then he told us it was a race to finish our bowls. We had so many people around us watching, even had one guy videotaping the encounter. I was laughing so much, and that was seriously our favorite character interaction ever. We went back last summer for breakfast, and the characters weren't as good, but the food was.

Hmm maybe this was temporary? We were there in January and he was circulating around the restaurant when we were there-they may rotate for the holidays or for whatever reason?

Oh I hope it was a temporary thing! We love Mad Hatter

We were also there in January and he was only meeting outside the restaurant. He was in a separate room at the back of the restaurant and you had to line up to meet him.

We were there at the end of November and the Mad Hatter was meeting outside of the restaurant. We went again a couple of weeks ago and he was back inside, going from table to table. On our particular visit, they had Piglet meeting outside of the restaurant (substituting for Tigger who couldn't make it that day). So maybe they are rotating characters?

Sure is what it sounds like- I would imagine they have to rotate for different reasons. We have gone when Alice or Mary Poppins was outside for photos and have been there a few times when no one was outside. (actually the last time we were there no one was outside)-I bet it can even change in the same day where a character could be in the restaurant lobby for a few hours and then may go in and circulate...it's a mystery now...time to camp out in the lobby LOL!!!

My personal favorite is Ohana. Ohana for breakfast is a must have for EVERY trip for our family. We don't worry about dinner there any longer too much food. Maybe that's why I enjoy this breakfast better the proportioned service doesn't seem like food explosions.I just love everything about that breakfast.
We did 1900 on Easter and had a good time. Great character interactions with Alice and Hatter. However, I've never ever thought about booking it again. Been there done that feeling. The food was better than Chef Mickeys but that isn't saying much. I am a strawberry fan and I didn't care for the soup it was way too sweet.

Honestly, though you really need to do them both and choose for yourself because other than they both have characters the experience is totally different. IMO

WoW..... Talk about a tough choice....>These 2 are neck and neck in my opinion, & both have surpassed Donald's TH safari breakfast as the top2.

Both are completely different but equally awesome...

1900 PF surprised me a lil....I didn't think I'd love it so much.....The food choices, the atmosphere, the character interaction, is 2nd to none...They spend a good amount of time, & the Mad Hatter is hilarious.

Ohana, we kinda knew what to expect. We usually do Ohana Dinner for our arrival or 1st full day dinner. The place is definitely different during the day then at night...Also the reg. breakfast menu is different too. Character interaction was good here, but a lil better @ 1900...Food is delish though, & nuttin like POG juice :drinking1 to get you going 1st thing in the morn.

I like 1900 PF, for dinner. It's such a good time with the step sisters and Lady Tremaine.
Breakfast without the Mad Hatter circulating kinda makes it just breakfast.
OHana is alright. Some people really love it. Some don't. I'm in the middle. It's just eh.

Outside your choices maybe consider Whispering Canyon at the WL. Good breakfast food, and an interactive staff that is always good time. Ask for ketchup, straws or napkins. Or ask the server to take a picture for you! They make it such fun. My kids liked it most as teens. And then when their step dad and to get up and sing I'm a little teapot! Got that on video.

If I had to pick, 'Ohana, hands down. I've never eaten at 1900 PF, but we've done bfast at 'Ohana and it was great, and both my kids are SUPER into Lilo and Stitch right now. Last time I went in 2010 they had a Hawaiian Mickey too, but I don't know if they still do.
