Our plane leaves at 6:10 AM from LGA airport (NY).
We would have to be there at 4:00 AM to check our luggage.

Where can we eat breakfast ?

Are stores open 24 hours at LGA ?

We are taking Delta. Is there a breakfast shop open at 4:30 AM or 5:00 AM
where the Delta planes are ?

Gosh! I can't imagine being ABLE to eat an actual breakfast at that time in the morning! It would probably make me sick. I would just bring some breakfast bars or fruit from home. Have a great trip!

I agree with the above poster. Bring something from home to munch on., you'll probably receive breakfast on the plane.

Are you on Delta or Delta express. If you are on Delta you will probably get something (assuming you are going non stop to Orlando) If you are on Delta Express you won't get breakfast!

If you can bring food, I would! It will be cheaper and probably better!

what do you bring? We are taking US Air MetoJet at 7:30, so we have to be there at 5:30. And there is no food on MetroJet. Dumb question; what is a breakfast bar? I just don't know what "to go" food is going to satisfy me.

We are planning on flying out on Oct 5th 7am Delta Express flight. The hotel where we are staying at the night before has a continental breakfast beginning at 430. This is the time we need to leave for the airport. Im planning on taking a baggie and putting a mixture in it for the plane. Muffins? Cereal boxes? Danish? Juice and coffee will be my problem. Taking drink boxes in my carry-ons. Will need to buy coffee once I go through security. I'll be among the still asleep passengers. Please wake me up when I get to the metal detectors. Thank you

You know, like a cereal bar or something. We love the Nutri Grain Twist bars - especially the Strawberries and Cream kind.

I have been known to take bagels.

I don't have an answer for you, but I'm on the same flight. What was I thinking???

This should be fun, getting 3 kids to LGA by 4:00 am.

It is a Delta flight, my ticket says snack.

DCGRUMPY - when do you leave ? We leave on Wed, 11/14/01 ?
same flight , I think it's 6:10 AM ?

Look for our lime green ribbons and sleepy DS & DD.

I don't leave until 11/24, I think it's flight 667, it is 6:10. I saw that American Airlines is completely doing away with food in economy class, other airlines may soon follow.

I thought it would be nice to be at WDW so early and have the whole day  . I guess I didn't think this through very well.

We have taken the 6:10am flight on Delta out of LGA several times. We had arrived there about 5am in the past, and no food concession stands were ever open except for Starbucks Coffee. Some would open about 5:30am, but it would take longer for hot food to be cooked, so bagels and danish are only available around that time.

Now with the new requirements of arriving 2 hours early, the concession stands may start to open earlier as well. Maybe a call to LGA information might give you more information.

Unless they change, the 6:10am flight is not an express flight, and a Sky Deli is served. It is a small bag you pick up as you are entering the plane. It contains OJ, blueberry muffin, yogurt, and either an apple or a banana.

Hope this helps. We have this same flight booked for the summer, if we still decide to go.

We've decided to order Chinese very late the night before (@ 11:00), stay up until we leave for the airport at around 3:30, sleep on the plane and have breakfast at our resort. We've never left that early, but at least the Grand Central should be free of traffic!

No traffic? I have to tell you we thought that too, but alot depends on the day of the week. Coming from NJ, last year we left on a Friday, and it took us an hour. (Okay, we did leave at 4:30am, which is later than you'll have to leave.) The tolls at the bridges held us up the most because they are minimally staffed and we didn't have EZPass.

This year we left on a Saturday, and the traffic was noticeably lighter, and EZPass was a definate plus. If you're coming from NYC you don't have as far to go, so it may be fine.

We took a 6 a.m. flight out of Memphis last year and really liked it (we had never flown early before but had to take that to get the cheap fare). We had the whole day to do other things when we got to Orlando. We waited to eat while we were on the plane too (just go through the breakfast section at the grocery store - from pastries on - you might want to take a small pack of wet wipes with you in case of sticky fingers). We got our juice on the plane but could have taken something to drink.
